I haven't been to the KC for over a week because of COVID. I'm so excited to get back to it tomorrow. The only thing I don't like about it is that there doesn't seem to be a steady schedule. That is, it seems to fluctuate. I try to avoid the kids because the majority of them are rude and out of control. At least the ones I've encountered are. There is one young man however, that goes by Junior. He's a sweetie and very respectful.

I'm visiting this area from out of state and I stopped here for some basketball. This facility is very impressive and high end. Much nicer than my local YMCA even. The basketball courts were very well maintained and there were 3 courts total. The flooring was not the usual hardwood, but felt very grippy and comfortable to use. The front desk lady was super nice and even went above and beyond and gave me a refund for my mom's day pass because she was only watching me play and not using any of the facilities there. Highly recommended!

We have been members since the day they opened and we were able to join. Absolutely love this family oriented place and atmosphere. The one thing I don't like, is the pricing plans for different families. If you're a family of 3, you pay the same price as a family with 4, 5, 6 etc. I think they should be adjusted accordingly, and find that not only unfair, but not right.

Update *** Knocked down to 3 stars since the reception desk isn't always warm but busy and doesn't acknowledge you when you want aid... stand there for them to finish chatting it up - then seem annoyed if you have a question. Not good. Not good at all ☆☆☆... *The little coffee shop staffers are even worse!! Shivering cold service!! Tried it a couple of times. No thank you. Won't spend my money there again nor my kids. I'd rather go to a rough, unrefined,, boxing gym and be treated like family than a pretty place and be treated like a disliked in-law. No thank you. From Original Review: Good looking facility! 🌴 Not only beautiful to look at, with the lovely woodworking on walls and ceilings but also rock pillars, use of glass for aesthetic appeal and openness, but also, what amazing offerings for individuals and groups in exercise for adults and children and families. But we won't be going back to the church, the facility for working out and definitely not the coffee shop. None are welcoming.

The best thing to do is go in or call and inquire about it!!!
You can visit any kroc anywhere with your membership 😁
Hi Dianne, great question! The name “Kroc” is the last name of Joan Kroc, wife of McDonald’s founder Ray Kroc. Joan Kroc is the wonderful woman who entrusted The Salvation Army with $1.5 Billion to build Community Centers across the country in communities that were in desperate need of a safe gathering place, a place with facilities and trained professionals to nurture children’s social skills, arts appreciation and athletic potential. She described The Kroc Center as being a beacon of light and hope in the community. Thanks to her gift, we now have 26 Salvation Army Kroc Centers nationwide :) and Coeur d’Alene was lucky enough to win the bid to have one built here! If you’re curious to learn a bit more about Joan Kroc’s story and how her gift impacted North Idaho, visit kroccda.org/about
We have Senior Memberships for ages 65+ for the entire Center. Visit kroccda.org/memberships to see rates and member benefits.

We do offer transportation for middle and high school students from local schools to The Kroc when school gets out, but we don't offer a general shuttle service.

No, but that would be a good suggestion for them to look into adding.
We got a day pass for $8/p and gets you access to the cove pool and wall climbing. The pool was fun for the kids. Slide for my 10 and 7 year old, and toddler pool for my 5, but he didn't stay there instead hung out in the lazy pool area with his life jacket. Shallow area was 3ft and the bigger pool was 6ft at the deeper end.
Yes you can take specific classes without a membership
With a gold membership, it is $6 for a single day, $36 for the monthly pass. Additional kids for the monthly pass are $26 each. Silver pass rates for Play Care are a little more.

We have one indoor playground area for smaller kids (48" tall or under) that's free to the public during specific hours called Huckleberry Hollow, but the gym, pool, and child care require a Day Pass or Membership to access. Visit kroccda.org/hours to view our various hours around the facility.
If you're talking about the CdA Symphony Orchestra, it's at 7:30pm
You can visit kroccda.org/membership to see a full list of the Membership types we offer, what they cost, and list of member benefits.
You need to either get a day pass or a membership. It depends on how much you want to use the Kroc Center. Day pass is advisable first of you've never used it. About $12.
You can see all our facility hours, including pool and swim times, here: http://www.kroccda.org/hours.html
If you're looking for Traditions of Christmas you can find show times at traditionsofchristmasnw.com
I think you can for a specific amount of time, they notify you when you have to start back up without paying for a new membership.
They may have the small kind that either attach and/or is permanently attached to a machine but don't recall seeing any full length ones (or any for that matter) being used while I've been there...but something tells me that's not something they'd truly promote as an 'acceptable workout' given some other policies they have in place. However I'm sure they'd happily give you a tour of they're facility. Keep in mind they DO have A LOT of equipment to choose from, when it comes to working out.
There is child care but not at the pool.
Yes they can, but can't be left unattended...to work out but if they meet the hight requirements they may enjoy the slide in the cove pool area, assuming they have it back up and running has been getting fixed the last two weeks or so.
A program for seniors on Medicare that have a supplemental insurance policy that includes a silver and fit benefit that pays all but $50 of your gold Kroc membership.
