On 10th Ave. in San Francisco we pay for a Recology to go into the garage – they have the garage code - problem is they keep switching drivers and supervisors so nobody thinks to go into the garage to collect the trash and recycling. This happens at least once every couple of months. I get calls from my tenant saying the garbage is piling up and is unsanitary and that the recycling is overflowing. At present I am waiting for a call from Ron Sherman the district manager because I have not been able to get any satisfaction from any of the other supervisors that keep rotating. So far no call from District manager Ron Sherman. I guess the next step is Mario Puccinelli chief operating officer. My wife is an attorney so I suppose push come to shove after months that have stretched into years of this poor service… A lawsuit will be have to be the final remedy. Basically nobody knows what’s going on on that block and I assume on other blocks as well.

I made an appointment to exchange two small trash bins with the 32 gallon trash bin on Thursday the garbage pickup day. On Wednesday I went to put two small bins on the sidewalk curb. Next day I went to check it and found out they never came. I call them and they said they will come on next week pickup day. I put two bins outside again and they did not come again. On third week they asked me to put those two bins again and they only picked up one small bin and never gave me the new 32gallon bin. It has been three weeks and this is a simple job. I can’t believe it they still screw up the appointment.

Terrible service. I've been trying to get a bulky item picked up, but as far as I can tell they have basically refused to do this. After they forgot to pick up our bins after getting everyone else's, on the block I called. After a 30 minute wait on hold, the phone rep said they could not come the next day, but could after the weekend. Monday they came, but didn't pick up the bulky item (just the bins), which I had mentioned to them. So I called again, another 30 minute wait time, and this rep said they had no record of the bulky item request, but would come either that day if possible or the next day. They didn't come that day, and they didn't come the day after either. I guess I have to call a third time...

I’ve been trying to set up service and keep hitting dead ends. Any suggestions?
Will garbage be picked up on christmas
Yes
You can also put dead batteries in a Ziploc bag and leave the bag on top of your black bin on trash pickup day.
Clean plastic bags can be bundled into a translucent plastic bag no larger than a basket ball, and tied off tightly and placed in the recycling. Please do not place a single plastic bag in the recycling as it can jam the sorting machinery. Dirty plastic bags go in the trash.
No, unfortunately you cannot. You can bring it to the facility on Tunnel Ave where it can be recycled but it should go in the trash (black bin).
What is your address so I can have the Operations Supervisor in your area investigate your issue?
If you mean Green waste, then yes.
All styrofoam goes into the black trash bin.
Bubble wrap is best placed in the black Trash bin.
Bring it to 501 Tunnel Ave. Or call 330-1300 for a bulky-item collection
Yes, you can. But I wouldnt put wet or soft foods. Use newspaper to wrap it in or put in paper bags
43.94 per month
At 501 Tunnel Ave
Food scraps including bones, food soiled paper (coffee filters, paper bags, paper to-go containers), flowers, and yard trimmings are great in the compost! Visit sfrecycles.org for more info!
Not if you leave it at the curb
yes, it's half the price per gallon as the trash bin

Beginning 12/26 on your service day
https://www.recology.com/recology-san-francisco/hazardous-waste/ You can drop it off at most hardware stores or recology's facility at tunnel and beatty
Call them in advance 330-1300

I'm not too sure I know that there was the shooting on the bridge so I don't know if that might have affected it but you can call the office I think they're in there till 5:30 and they can answer that question a lot better for you
Call the office and let them know shouldn't be to hard to get a new one
Yes. It runs Wednesday through Sunday 8 - 4:30.
