Came to drop off some oil/coolant. I had both containers in a separate tote and in plastic bags to ensure that none would be spilled in my truck. Despite both the containers having caps and in plastic bags the staff still managed to spill oil all over the bed of my truck. The staff had no regard for my vehicle. The lack of professionalism and disregard for others property was severely disappointing.

This place is awesome. Staff is super nice and work very efficiently, especially considering they handle hazardous waste all day. When the place is busy cars line up along the street, but the line moves fast.

Easy to drive up and get your hazardous items taken care of. There is limit of one visit per day and 125 lb of items. They take your ID details and must wear a face mask in the car. Very helpful staff!

The people that work here are courteous, efficient and helpful. I'm so glad there is a place to take stuff like this so it doesn't end up harming the environment.

I have a bag of dead AA batteries--may I dispose of them at the Vista facility?
Yes we take it
Yes. The sharps must be in a puncture resistant container (thicker plastic, like a Gatorade or bleach bottle or metal can) and the container must be sealed. Any loose sharps will result in the whole load being rejected. This is the only medical waste they accept.
Yes. You must show a drivers license with a Carlsbad address. It’s open Saturday until 3 pm.
Go to Costco/Discount Tire/Car Garage to remove the rubber tire from the metal rim. Couple $$ for the service. Some will even take the old rubber tires. The metal rim you can sell at scrap metal places or craiglist/offerup
