Unlike most mail order nurseries, Altman’s plants fill the container and have a vigorous root system. The come well-packed and fresh.

We recently participated in a School Garden Plant Giveaway headed by Resource Conservation District Greater San Diego. Altman Plants Vista donated all the plants that our school (Sandburg Elementary) picked up and used. Many thanks for this fantastic community outreach event - thank you Altman Plants Vista CA

This company has excellent customer service! I sent email inquiring if and when they would be providing my local Home Depot with a shipment of a certain landscaping plant (golden barrel cactus) and within half a day, and numerous emails clarifying exactly the plants and size I wanted, I was told they would be shipping 40 and they will send me an email when they ship. I’m so impressed!!

I just purchased two poinsettia plants from Home Depot that were grown by Altman Plants. These are the best looking plants I have ever seen. They are nice and compact there are no broken leaves or stems. You guys are great!!!

What stores carry your cacti in Lincoln, Ne. Thanks.

Major Stores such as Walmart and Lowes that I know of.

I just purchased your patio pot of Pentas and I think Sage, at Lowes. I am feeding butterflies with the nectar. I see there is a cancer warning on the label. Has this been treated with pesticide?

Jane Harrington | Aug 22, 2021

Hi, Jane. That is possible. Our use of pesticides is highly regulated by both the state and federal government. Our integrated pest management program includes the use of the environment to minimize pests (things like managing temperature and moisture), mechanical means (like copper fencing to keep out snails), organic controls (things like water and soap), as well as chemical pesticides. We always choose the method that will provide the results we need with the least environmental impact. When we use a chemical pesticide it is always in accordance with the label and the regulations. All pesticides have a re-entry period where no one is allowed into the treated area. We always try to use chemicals that have the shortest re-entry periods, as they are the safest. There are no chemicals that we use that are designed to last throughout the life of the plant. Most are contact sprays that have limited duration and are easily washed off.

Hello. Two locations: Oasis Water Efficient Gardens in Escondido and Waterwise Botanicals in Bonsall.

Do you have a minimum quantity of poinsettias to sell wholesale to a church? and doing you deliver? We do buy flowers from a wholesaler. Thank you, Margaret

Hello and good morning all. Just one week ago, I was at Home Depot, just looking around. I came across a table of succulents for sale. Great price at 5.00, and there were several different kinds. Why do you glue in the rocks??? Terrible!

It's all for show..they don't expect it to grow fast and people who buy them don't really like the plant or they would buy one without all the "show" or window dressing...look for a cacti or succulent grower near you ..you would get a better plant and a better deal..
