We own a rental property in Post Falls, and Hometown has made everything incredibly easy and wonderful for us! They are prompt and kind with their communication, they have wonderful repair people ready to help our tenants at a moment’s notice, and they take care of absolutely everything for us unless we say we want to do something ourselves. I know I would not do a great job being an attentive landlord, so Hometown gives us the peace of mind that our tenants will have everything they need, and that our property is in good hands. I used to be a renter dealing with management companies, and always hated that experience so I was skeptical about using a management company for our own rental property. We feel confident that Hometown respects and cares for our tenants as much as they do for us. They are doing a great job!

These people are crooks!! Helped my daughter lease a rental. They came out and inspected the house every couple months. It was gross when they moved in and we spent hours cleaning including paying a carpet cleaning company to come out. They were told they could extend the lease for a second year and then got a 30 day eviction notice. The property management company raised the rent from $2500 to $3300. The house was in better shape when they left them when they moved in. 7 months later I received a call from a debt collector for $7000 for move out fees! They claimed they had to replace carpet and reseed the yard that was dead when they moved in. This place is an absolute scam We took pictures before they moved in and when they moved out. Guess I’m going to have to get an attorney Beware of Hometown Property Management!!

The Hometown Property Management team is absolutely outstanding….and I don’t give that kind of praise lightly. We’ve worked with other property management companies that don’t hold a candle to them. They are so professional and thorough and take excellent care of our property! They send monthly Owner Reports and quarterly Inspection Reports complete with detail and pictures. I can call anytime I have a question and even Josh, the owner, is readily available. They even send out a monthly flyer to tenants with fun ideas and reminders to replace furnace filters or upcoming events. Only a irresponsible tenants who are not abiding by their lease could possibly be disgruntled. Hometown goes above and beyond! They are the standard and they rock!!

Avoid this company unless you are desperate for room over your head. Very nasty attitude people that will always be in your business. They like to invade your privacy by doing OFTEN walk-through the house (sometimes without notice) and take pictures for proof of everything. The very first day when we moved in, we got an email stating that our things are in the backyard and noticeable to the owner. We were asked to remove it within 3 days..... well of course it was noticeable because our house and garage was full of boxes and was being organized since we just moved in.... Look for rent somewhere else!

Hi Allie, We do require that applications must be approved before we schedule viewings. This is because we make a promise to our owners that everyone viewing the property is already qualified to live in it. This does mean paying an application fee. Please know that all pictures of our homes are taken by a professional photographer to depict them as accurately as possible and some of our homes have video walk throughs as well. We are also one of the only companies to refund app fees. For example, if someone in line ahead of you receives the property, if your income is insufficient, if your pets are not approved, etc., we will refund your app fee. These are things we look at before processing (using the app fee towards the background & credit check). We can also transfer your app to another home if you do not like the original property you were approved for/viewed.
