I have left numerous VMs at this unit & they are not returning my phone calls like the others have mentioned. This is not acceptable. You work decades & contribute to social security every paycheck of your life. We don't deserve this. I would encourage you all to call your Congressman or Congresswoman in your jurisdiction. I submitted my application for benefits in February, 3 months before I legally must receive benefits. I have received NO COMMUNICATION from the Richmond Center to date. I have the name of the person and called her office number twice as well as the office switchboard. They only take voice messages and do not respond. What can I do?!!

I moved and made a special trip to SS Office to change my address and bank information and i received mail and direct deposit then received two letters from them mentioning i will receive so much within a year from the date of that letter when the year went by they sent it to my old bank account and to my old address and this was 4yrs i have moved still not received it. They make changes and i never notified.

Unfortunately they won't give it out. They always refer you to their toll free number. I've tried. Even when they call you from their local number, if you try to call it back, you end up at their main switchboard.
