Whitman hospital and medical clinic is a very nice place to go. I have to have lab work at the hospital regularly, and then I go next door and see my doctor. The people here are friendly and courteous. The doctors and PAs are very nice and are pretty good. There's quite a few to choose from. Also, Orthopedic surgeons and Internist as well! I like coming to Whitman hospital and Medical center, I dont always want to go...but I'm always welcome when I get there! 😉

The staff there seem nice but they don't listen to you. They stuck an iv directly in the top of my hand in a vein that hurt so much I couldn't even move my fingers. And then they left it in my hand for over 3 hours NOT ATTACHED TO ANYTHING and wouldn't listen to me when I told them I was in pain. Instead I had five different nurses patronize me about being "anxious." Instead of taking the iv out and putting it back in closer to my surgery time they just continued to try and give me anxiety medication. They don't care about what you need or are feeling. I've had surgery before, i wasn't anxious. I was in pain for no reason and they didn't listen to me. They had me come in at 10 am and I was there until 2 pm waiting when my surgery was scheduled at noon. All that time with a painful iv in my hand for literally no reason, again I wasn't hooked up to anything they just stuck me with it and then left me there and wouldn't take it out and then put it back in closer to surgery. They continued to come in and say "oh you were supposed to have __ in here." It was a constant rotation of nurses who patronized me and didn't seem to know what they were doing. They also didn't let me drink water after midnight the night before but expected me to immediately give them a urine sample, uncaring that i literally hadn't drank anything in over 10 hours. All in all, it was a horrible hospital experience and I've been to the hospital and er many many times and have never had such a poor experience. If you're planning on a surgery DON'T get it here if you can help it.

I was taken here after a fall left my leg full of glass and the nurses were super nice. My phone didn’t have service so I was given one of theirs to use to call my family, the nurses kept conversation going to distract me from pain/discomfort, and they really did all they could to make me comfortable and not afraid of anything!

My husband and I were driving through town going further south to visit friends. We stopped at the store and he started experiencing severe pain. We googled hospital and Whitman came up. From the time we pulled up to the ER and there was someone already waiting for us, to now we have had exceptional care. He had to have emergency services and it’s Easter weekend, but everyone has been so supportive and helpful. We have had some wait time, it is a holiday weekend and more emergencies happen so it’s to be expected. Overall, everyone has been awesome. Thanks Whitman for being there for a couple of stranded out of towners.
