This is by far the largest dog park my pup and I have seen or visited in Manhattan! I guesstimate, this must be approx 1/4 of an acre with different terrain and levels within with a seperate space for pups or small breeds. Plenty of sit down, chill and watch spots and places for dog parents all over the place... The only thing wrong with this place is that is should have waaaaay more tree bark and mulch on the park grounds. All the other dog parks seem to have of tons of mulch. Why can't we mulch and use everything from St Nicholas Park for the dog park?

BEST dog park I have been to so far! Lots of parking, good amount of seating, friendly patrons, and pretty clean for a dog park that sees many!

Per Google it opens at 6 AM, but I've only been in the evening. It closes at 10 pm apparently, and when I get there around 8 pm it's usually pretty empty. There's also separate large and small dog sections so either could be used if empty and you're not sure about your dogs interacting with others.
Yes of course You would have to go down a set of steps but definitely accessible from the college
