I recently attempted to sign my child up with the YMCA of New Rochelle for After school care at a rate on a contract provided by the YMCA of New Rochelle at $325 per month. Upon looking at my statements I was charged $425 and was told that my child required a membership fee of $100 that was not indicated on the contract. Upon calling I spoke to Bianca and was rudely scolded, that if I didn't want to pay it then my child's application would be canceled and she wouldn't be able to attend. This $100 fee is bogus and I am yet to be given any documentation as to where it is from or why it is charged. I have been trying to reach out to Mr. Gordon Jr. who is the operations manager but to no avail. Also it is worth noting that I have been trying to provide documentation to the Ymca to complete registration for 5 days and no response but I was overcharged for the entire month even though my child would have attended for 12 days.

My experience is soooo bad At Regisrtarion process they were nice but after that when they got u r money they show u the other face !!! Specially the manager , she is just keep u away from everything, it’s not organized place , if u have kids under 8 u can’t put them there because they don’t want anyone play and make any mess !! The karate lessons was the worst part , it’s only once a week and they just ask for money they don’t care about the time , She wasted the time while she change her clothes !!!! Only 45 mins wasted for play with kids , no training nothing useful.., The worst ymca ever

My daughter was lucky to get into the lottery program and seated to the PreK class at this YMCA 2021-2022, there is no word can express how much we love it here. All of the staff are very nice, friendly and helpful. They all greeted and smiled anytime we passed each other. And they sure do keep their eye on the kids. The teachers are the best, Mrs. Franco and Ms. Doreen are great, you cant find any better teacher than them. They surely love the kids and know how to encourage them, teach them and have a lot of patience for them (lol, you know kids have their moments). My kid loves her teachers with all her heart. Send your kids here and you wont regret, my kid speaks English but some of her mates speak Spanish and Mrs. Franco is Spanish speaker and perfectly fluency in English too, there is no worry about communicating with the children at all. I think both of the teachers make a great combination, together they do excellent job. The classroom are clean, neat and full of activities for kids to learn and play. The facility is good. There is a man who always busy cleaning around anytime we saw him but he always said hi and have a great day to everybody, very kind and friendly. They also took the kids out when the weather was nice to the park for outdoor activities. We are going to register the summer camp here too.

They have great kid programs at good prices which is why I got the kids membership. My daughter will soon work with Marcelo for private swimming lessons. Just observing him he uses every second of the lesson motivating and instructing the child. Never seen him get distracted or talk to others. So just had to get him to instruct my daughter! Update: my daughter went from being afraid to even putting her head in the water to knowing how to swim laps! We also switched to the family membership so she can get some practice in during family swim. Staff is super friendly!
