The New City BBQ

I work down the road at A1 scrap yard. Every time I get a chance I stop in. I have had there burgers, chopped pork sandwiches and I have eaten breakfast here. Food is always great. The staff is always friendly. Also if you want to watch a master cook, then go in sit at the bar and order your food. If the guy with the bandana is cooking then you are in for a treat. The atmosphere is like a road side BBQ joint. Pictures on the wall and bar, old relics from the past. I really enjoy that myself. Major of the time the place is packed. I will stop as often as I get a chance.

With as much traffic that come through this location it needs to be alot more cleaner. First time eating here and I will never again that's all I'll say! I've eaten at several City BBQs and this one is the worst they should change the name!

The service was great. Everyone was friendly and tentative. There wasn't a long wait for the food. They give a good amount of food for the price. Prices are definitely fair. The food is what you expect from a small town neighborhood grill. The chopped plate was solid though. It had flavor and wasn't dry. Their bbq sauce complimented the chopped pork well.

City BBQ was a welcome delight for this city girl who just recently found herself in NC. The fried pickles were truly delicious!!! And the chopped BBQ sammie with the their homemade sweet BBQ sauce was wonderful! I hated getting full. Our server was polite and on the ball which made the experience extra nice. Food was served piping hot! We WILL be back!! Extra nice touch that the napkin dispensers have the daily specials posted so you know what’s available.
