Jiggershop is a must visit if you are in Gretna. The servings of ice cream are not very large for the price but the visit is worth it.

Visit Mt Gretnas summer itinerary to find out which Saturday in August the handbells will ring. The most lovely summer evening you could ever have in this adorable little village.

I actually went for Larry McKenna's Summer Concert. It was wonderful. He does several throughout the summer season. The music was all from Burt Bacharach, the singers were wonderful and the musicians great. First time there, will go back.

This covered outdoor meeting and concert pavilion is a hidden gem in the woods of a quiet little vacation hamlet. The town is well worth exploring and is known for it's summer vacation bungalows cleverly decorated by their owners. The summer arts festivals are great and are attended by many artists offering their crafts. A beautiful lake and swim area along with great restaurants will bring you back.

Questions & Answers

Can you walk through all the streets to see the art work on buildings?

Not sure what you mean by "art work on buildings". Mt. Gretna is mostly a community of houses, quaint adorable houses, many of then quite old, most with cozy wrap around porches. The Tabernacle has no art work. It is not a place of worship, as such, it mostly looks like a roofed over, open-to-the-out-doors (on the outer edges) venue. It is a round structure with austere wooden benches facing a small stage. It hosts primarily Christian based musical events. I hope this extra information helps.
