I have had far more interactions with the Chico Police than I would like, but I only have positive things to say about them. At this point, I believe I have met or spoken with every officer, and they have all been respectful towards me even when we were communicating in very serious circumstances. On a few occasions, we have had some disagreements and the officers allowed me to voice my opinion in a respectful manner without responding to my constructive criticism in a negative way. The dispatch workers can appear a little frustrated, but from what I understand this has more to do with their current dispatch system needing an update and the department needing additional funding to hire more employees. I don’t think I would be able to handle the requirements of that particular job if I were in their shoes and I definitely keep that in mind during the instances in which I have communicated with them. On one particular instance, it was very clear that the dispatch worker cared deeply for my safety even before I comprehended the full extent of that precarious situation. All in all, I think the individuals at this police department deserve the utmost respect and admiration for the job they do with limited resources. It is refreshing to know that these individuals truly care about justice in their community and remember their interactions with the individuals whom they serve.

We called the police last week as their was a suspicious person in our Artesia Dr neighborhood of Chico looking in cars. The police arrived promptly, sat him on the curb in front of our house. They searched his backpack, talk to him & then realeased him explaining not to be walking neighborhoods. I would have liked them to check his ID for outstanding warrants ect but legally I do not know the limitations in regard to that. we were quite frightened! I just wanted to thank CPD... & since that time I have seen them twice coming thru our neighborhood. Please continue to keep up the patrol. You are all very much appreciated CPD!

Chico Police Dept is a outstanding department. So many dedicated men and women employed there in positions of Police Officer, Dispatcher, Clerks and more. They have a large VIPS Program (Volunteers in Police Service), these volunteers help in numerous ways. We are fortunate!

So happy today! I would like to show my appreciation for the officers and staff at Chico PD. They helped me locate and retrieve my lost/stolen property. Every one i talked to (dispatchers, officers, receptionists) at the department was kind , understanding and i felt like they really cared about my situation . I'm especially grateful to Officer Albini. If not for him going over and above today, my property would be irretrievable. Thank you, again. Thank you to ALL Chico PD for kindness and caring .- Shannon

Show proof of registration at C.P.D and recieve a release slip.
Dindu Nuffin huh? Then you should probably get a lawyer to fight these false allegations. Your license can be confiscated for a few reasons or it's a mistake. Stop by the Chico Police Department and ask.
If you can help them, most likely. If you need help, no.
All adult persons arrested (age 18 and over) are eventually transported the Butte County Jail in Oroville. People who are arrested are normally taken to the Chico Police Department first to be "pre-booked" by a Community Services Officer and then transported to the jail in Oroville. If there are no Community Services Officers available to pre-book, then the officer will take the arrested person directly to jail.
These questions go to the public. I would personally go to her house and check on her if she were my friend or someone I cared about. At the very least you could have a welfare check completed by the Chico PD. Their non-emergency line is 530-897-4900.
These questions go to the public. You can call the ChicoPD non emergency line at 530-897-4900. Then request an Officer to meet you at the location to gather your property.
Not a lawyer and this isn't legal advice. You can ask the person to meet you at the police station with your property. If they aren't willing - and you don't think you can return there, you probably will have to file a small claims suit to get your property back. This can take a long time and a lot of effort.
These questions go to the public to answer, not the Chico PD. You should call the Chico PD and explain your situation. The non-emergency line is (530) 897-4900
Bring receipt and date purchased to CPD between 8 and 3
No. You can do it online on the City of Chico web page or in person at the City Finance office at 411 Main Street
I suggest you call the Department tomorrow and ask. The PD doesn't answer questions here AFAIK.
You can usually find that information on the back of your parking ticket. I believe you can pay it online through the city of Chico. Parking fees are not paid to the police department.
Your son should have received some paperwork with the case number. Failing that, I think you have to re contact the PD with your question.
Sounds like you should stop by Butte Behavioural Health to help you resolve this situation!
You tried to report your missing car keys to the Chico PD.. and they did nothing?!? Even after you presumed that a mechanic may have looked through your car?!? You may need to go straight to the FBI to crack this case.... or call a local Locksmith to re-key your car and go to a different mechanic
The store they belong too. If carts on your property, they are yours now.
It's been 24 hours I would call the police right away I would have called them right away
Try Brown's. It's the #1 How service they use. But maybe you haven't spoke to the correct person? There's no reason for them to withhold that info. Is it evidence?
No... Unless they're underage. These questions go to the public. Not directly to the police. Flag the photo on FB.
Call the police dept if the time isn't stated on your notice. It should be. It used to be 72 hours. But I won't swear to that anymore.
I would recommend you phone CPD 897-4911.
Start with the Chico Police non-emergency line. 530-897-4912
No. Unless you open the door or ots already open.
Follow this link to the citizens reporting module: http://www.chico.ca.us/police/start-report.html
Call the Chico Police Department's Dispatch Center at 897-4 911 for Officer assistance.
Judges have nothing to do with tow yards (which are contracted with the City of Chico). Police bonuses?? Lol. Police employees don't get bonuses. I'm assuming you are talking about smoggging your vehicle ("pass with flying colors")...smog regulations are set at the state level. Contact your legislative representative.
Take the bicycle to the Chico Police Department's front counter and one of the Records Technicians can run the serial number for you. They don't do it over the phone in case it comes back stolen.
Call the Chico Police Department dispatch at 530-897-4911

Why not ask the library?
Do you know who did it? Call CPD Dispatch at 530-897-4911
