After training at another gym for several years, our son switched to CGT. The only regret I have is that we didn’t join sooner. While the prior gym gave him a great foundation, he’s grown in a short amount of time. Coach Alex goes above and beyond just coaching BJJ. He coaches these kids in life and holds them to standards you will not find these days. He provides a tough and rigorous program that you’d likely not find anywhere else. Yes, he cares about his business, but he cares about his students more and it shows. He has excellent assistant coaches that are set at a higher standard to what I expect other gyms have. Thank you, CGT!

My son trained elsewhere for a while and had no interest in continuing to train due to cutthroat attitude of the team. He is now with the Carlson Gracie Team AZ and is more than happy to be part of this great team. The environment is friendly. My daughter also trains and does not want to miss a single day of training. The Professor and his family are amazing. My 4 year old is looking forward to being a part of this team. We now consider ourselves 100% Carlson Gracie Team, Jiu-jitsu family.

Went to Arizona for the weekend and requested the professor for a visit. We were obliged and was greeted with kindness and friendship. Upon walking in we noticed how clean the gym and the bathrooms were. The professor was very friendly and professional. Our experience was everything we had expected. The kids jujitsu class was structured and built to be champions. My family and had the best experience.

This review is for the one week trial of kid's class. My daughter attended three classes She was quite happy to go there , so I decided to go ahead and enroll her. I was quite shocked when they told me that they cannot enroll her, citing discipline issues . Apparently she was not following clear instructions such as assemble in line or taking longer to come back from water break. They suggested to try other activities such as dancing. My daughter goes to Piano, swimming, school, after care program, summer schools and never had any discipline issues. It takes time for the kids to fully follow instructions, specially when they are coming from full day in school. The main reason parents send kids to martial arts is to learn discipline in the first place. They have around 25 kids in the class ,they do not have time or patience to provide one on one attention. If they don't want my business , I will take it some where else. A very humiliating incident indeed. Also never pick up the phone. .

Best to come in & speak to professor Alex or professor Alicia. They'll answer any questions regarding membership fees. I'm pretty certain the first step will be to come on in & "try" a class- to determine if Jiu-Jitsu training is for you. Tonight (Thurs 6:30PM) is Adult no-Go training. You are welcome to come train with us.
