I never give 4 stars on my first visit, until I go back a second time. When I visit Portsmouth again, I'll definitely book another tour. Took the sunset tour. Tip: bring a light jacket if you get cold easily

Great narrative during the cruise and was able to take many great pictures along the way

With several types of cruises through the harbor (narrated, sunset, etc) this is a must-do if visiting the Portsmouth/Kittery area. Our cruise was a little over an hour and a half, gently steaming from Portsmouth to the river's mouth at the Atlantic. Along the way you'll see interesting sights from a naval shipyard to lighthouses, as well as some stunning nature scenes. Well worth it! Notes- I'd definitely recommend the sunset cruise, but remember that temps on the water are cooler and may require a jacket. There is a small bar onboard as well, if you'd like to enjoy a cocktail while cruising.

We booked the star island walking tour, which was 3.75 hours, and it wasn’t enough time on the island. The larger boat goes slow so it takes a while to get out to the island. By the time you get to star island, you have an hour to walk around. When we go out again, we’ll select the day visit instead. Aside from that, the island is beautiful. There are signs to follow the trail around the island and sightsee or you can use one of the tour guides provided by the boat. They have some kayaking you could do if you booked the day tour and plenty of places to just relax and enjoy the sun and atmosphere. Don’t forget your sunscreen! The sun was blazing down on the island. The boat is large and there’s plenty of room. They have an inside cabin with a bar and some food options. The island also has food. The boat has someone pointing out what you’re seeing as you exit the harbor on the loudspeaker. It can get chilly on the boat so bring something for that. As for parking, they have their own parking and it’s $5 for the trip. Bring cash. Before I go, one thing no one mentioned online or in the reviews is SHOES. The island can be muddy and rocky in places and sandals are not a good idea. I recommend sneakers or good soled boat shoes for walking the island. You’ll thank me later. 4 to 4.5 stars

Yes it was a lot of fun.
They do do events on the boat. I don't know about weddings specifically though. And the rates do vary.
You can check online. We took a noon cruise on a Tuesday. Cost was $19 each. We did get receive a military discount, so we paid $17 each. Our cruise was roughly 90 minutes. Well worth it every penny. Narrated and full of history.. It boards just past the Isles of Shoals dock, closer to downtown. It is across the street from the historical, Whipple House, signer of the US Constitution from NH..
