I brought my rescue Basset hound here for beginner's obedience class and and I have to say that the instructor was able to help me understand him and for him to understand me. I would recommend this class for new dog owners and those needing a refresher class on the basics.

This place really needs to train their call center staff. I have had so many issues with them over the phone. You call looking for help and just get insulted in a very passive aggressive manner. I have placed complaints three times already with supervisors. People rely on you for information and help, you are the face of this hospital in many ways. Long term clients like myself simply do not have the time to deal with your bad manners and lack of professionalism. We have more important issues, like our pet’s health, already taking too much space in our minds.

Something’s I have to say. I took My two male cats to be neutered there and the staff was great very helpful and kind but then end result was bad. When I went to pick them up I was told one of my cats had a heart murmur which I thank Them for telling me I just wish they would of called me before they proceeded with the neutering to inform me of the heart issue and discussed options I also believe they mixed up the paperwork and noted the wrong cat with the heart issue, which I understand could happen since they are brothers and look so much alike. 10 days after the procedure one of my cats was not doing great and I took them to a different 24 hour animal hospital to find out he was in heart failure and it was to far that he could not be saved. At 11:59pm on 3/18/2022 he took his last breath. I have Had issues with angell in the past and should of known better but some people can’t afford 300-500 per cat for neutering, it is a great program but I will Advise people to try and go somewhere else. I really Think if options was discussed I would Not of had to put my cat down. And the vet believes that it was due to the anesthesia that this happened. My cat was fine before this. I have Since canceled an appointment for my female cat and have told all my friends not to go there. I am Very disappointed in my self and after paying for the neuter emergency vet visit and the euthanasia and cremation it has come out to be the same price if I had Taken them to a different vet. Please go somewhere else for your animal needs.

My Rudy made a small poop yesterday! I’m so grateful to MSPCA 350 South Huntington Ave. & the animal care givers there! She was almost completely withered away as a result of my ignorance. Angels that helped me in the Adoption building I tell you! Angels! They got me a low cost of $175 & I was relieved that I could afford it for sure! They told me to wait & that they could get grants to bring the price down more😱😱😱 unheard of! At the end of the day I received a call from one of those living angels saying my cost was $0 😱😱😱 there are simply no words but I pray that they get this review about the girl cat called Rudy White🙏🏽❤️ She just nibbled on some kibble! Yay everything !

You need to go sign up at the front desk and ask to fill out some applications for volunteer work.
It ranges 250-450 I think is what the sign said. I paid 250
Hello in front of the same MSPCA they have an area for donations. When you enter the parking lot you will see the sign that will take you to the adoption center on the same door you will see where to donate.
Massachusetts Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals

Yes
Yes, you can call them. I not sure
I recommend calling the main number.
Hi there, please go ahead and bring the cat in if you haven't already. In many cases, we are able to find the cat's owner. If not, we are generally able to put stray cats up for adoption unless it would not be the right choice for the cat. Then we can discuss neuter and release or other options. Please give us a call at 617-522-5055 if you have questions about bringing the kitty in. Thank you!
If you are low income and youre a resident, they might do it for free or for $10 with a package of vaccines and nail trim. Which is quite excellent. It comes from.donations and you need to proff low income because is a program. Luck!
Just take it to the shelter
Forgive my bad Spanish. I used the google translator for this. Puppies (5 months of age and less): $ 550 Puppies (6 months to 11 months): $ 450 Dogs (1 year- 9 years): $ 350- $ 450 Old dogs (10 years and older): $ 300
Hi Johnette. The MSPCA-Angell Animal Medical Center next to the adoption center has a Pet Care Assistance Program. You can check it out here on the website, or give us a call to talk further. https://www.mspca.org/programs-resources/pet-care-assistance/
There is a SNAP program for residents in Dorchester...and through the program you only pay $10(neutered,vaccination, & micro chip)...look on the website qnd/or call during business hours
Looking for a puppy for adoption has to be small I have a studio room
U have to Call prices run different on each animal
$25 according to the website for the Boston branch, https://www.mspca.org/adoption-centers/boston-adoption-center/how-to-adopt-boston/
The website should have up to date information about which pets are available.
Yes
Wendy i can get it from you how much do you want and how old is the dog
Depends on what they get in. Check in and there are some times small dogs.
250$ yes they come with shots and spayed/neutered. They also offer follow up services. Best thing to do is go there and ask about the process
They try their hardest to find them a home they move them around to different facilities to see if they get adopted
Yes
No my dog is 5 years old and he's been neutered
Yes towels are especially valued
Always if not MSPCA adoption they have an outreach Dept that's super helpful when pet owners are in need of things.
I'm not sure but if you call them I'm sure they'll arrange something
I'm not too sure, but if you call them you will definitely get an answer. The people are great.
I have a 18 month chizuu I looking for a home for him as soon as possible because I'm going to be homeless on Sunday may 5. Where can I take him.
I don't know because my pet got hurt and I had to go into emergency room but I hope you get your answer have a good day
Yes there is paper and u have 2 pay b4 they take care of your animal
Yes , the MSPCA does deal with rats an other rodents .....last i checked there was a rat named "Remy" not sure if he ever found a home or not but to answer your question Yes they do
I would love to adopt a kitten, do you have any kittens at the moment??
No just a dog
You could try contacting their adoption office. However they're not letting anybody inside the hospital facilities so it's best to call first.
I believe so
Find a no kill rescue...ie great dog rescue, kitty connection, sweet paws rescue . MSPCA is a kill shelter. Last Hope K9 rescue. Google a no kill in your area.
Www.mspca.org under "view adoptable animals
I am sorry, don't know. I go for dog health reasons. I am sure it's not that much, give them a call =)
Please contact the shelter directly www.mspca.org . Not open Monday
it's possible they would but it would have to be relocated to another shelter (probably ARL Dedham Branch or their own Methuen shelter) in all likelihood afterwards. your best bet is to go to the animal rescue league of Boston's Dedham shelter. If you can. They're used to farm animals and even have a barn on site. If the MSPCA Angell shelter is the only option for you they will most likely appreciate a call ahead of time so they know that a rooster is coming in and can prepare
Yes! Although they may not always have chinchillas. Since they are a shelter not a pet store they will not have chinchillas available if they are surrendered or otherwise find themselves in the shelter's care. Right now (October 3, 2019) they do indeed have a few
I suggest calling
You do not need an appointment to adopt or visit. If you are surrendering an animal they appreciate a call a head of your arrival so they can prepare but they won't turn you away if you don't call.
Not sure. Best to call there
I live in south boston. I am disabled. I had a kitten I got, when she was 4 weeks old. She passed away last year,at almost 22 yrs old. Does anyone know were I can get a free kitten, without doing it online? Online is confusing. My name is Joe & my number is 1-617-765-8931
You can see most of the animals up for adoption on their website. It updates every few days. Call ahead to see if the animal you're interested in is still there to save a trip.
They accept volunteers beginning at age 16.
Yes they will check him an take it from there
Yes, you can surrender Guinea pigs.
Please call, they have many cats that are very cute, cuddly and looking for a new home!
You should call the adoption center and find out :)
Hi Josh, Thanks for thinking about adoption! You can learn more about our adoption philosophy and the adoption process on our website: https://www.mspca.org/adoption-centers/boston-adoption-center/how-to-adopt-boston/ The best way to get started is to come in for a visit! Hope to see you soon.
No thanks
Teresita I am sure if you are asking if they have cats for adoption? If that is your question, yes they do have many cats for adoption.
I browsed the site map and came across this too: https://www.mspca.org/programs-resources/hillside-acre-animal-cemetery-at-nevins-farm/burial-services/
Not sure, they have all kinds of dogs but you should call their adoption center to find out. Or go on their website
The adoption fee for my dog was 300.00 i believe, but that includes all shots and spayed and or neutered. Definitely adopt from the mspca
If i were you i wouldn't aproach it quite in that manner but I truly believe they have an adoption program to be politically correct lol!
Its open both saturday and Sunday from 12-4pm
I think its alittle cheaper
just hang on. they will get to you
50 dollars
You can check on their website. Adoption fees vary based on the age of the animal.
They have a large donation box just inside the lobby. Toys are likely fine, and they could always use clothing for bedding at least.
Hi Vanity Trust, Did you get your dog at a shelter?
I think it varies.
You have to stop in and check, even the website/petfinder arent up to the minute. A dog we were looking at got adopted as we drove over there and we live 15 minutes away
I think they did, either there or Dedham, but I think there
No
No
my kitten is 5 months old income is 850 .00 a month so ca u tell me how much it would cost please
Can i bring two dogs at once and can they be on leashes
You're going to have to call. Depends on the pet and the circumstances
Yes...but you...you should call them directly
Price are the same except for puppies
From what I see near the entrance of the shelter there are desks where a shelter staff person goes over the paperwork and may ask questions like: Does you place of residence have a "no pet policy?" The screen the applicants because they want to make sure the dog, cat, etc doesn't end up back in the shelter.
The mspca can definitely help you get the right answer. I would suggest calling them to get you connected with the right people to help.
I believe volunteers
Yes 911. Immediately.... they will direct you.
Not sure exactly, about 3 years ago I believeb it was around 80$. It came with shots and a Chip. Depends where u live too, they were doing it for like 10$ if you lived in Dorchester or a certain part of the city. You could just call them up or pass by to get a flyer. Best of luck.
I believe he was adopted and is doing much better.
An animal will be spayed or neutered once they’ve been adopted. If he’s no longer on the site he’s been adopted.
And
Tuesday – Friday 1pm-5pm and Saturday – Sunday 11am-4pm.
$250 give or take extras
How much for a cat?
Yes
Yeah, you should call ahead to arrange the surrender
Hi Dianne, I'm very sorry to hear that you can give up your dog anytime at no cost and we will do our best to find a good home for him. I know this because I work there.
They'll have Huskies if there are any for adoption otherwise it's not a facility that will stock animals like a pet store
You need to get muzzle for him and bring him to a groomer like PetCo and they can do it
The website has options that can help with finances for that check it out
No
We do u need to adopt kitten
