This store needs a THOROUGH cleaning, I went in know exactly what I was going to purchase, had I been able to get to the frozen case without being in the way of the four staff members it took to ring up a sale and the boxes that were in the way of everyone I would have made the purchase. Number one, get rid of all the clutter, number two, no customer should ever be made to feel like they are in the way, number three does it really take four people to run a register??? I left frustrated and empty handed know I was going to have to find another pet shop to buy my fish food, I probably won't be back as this is not my first visit where this has occurred.

Brilliant, absolutely brilliant. What I expect to see as I enter a "pet store" are animals.. animals in every corner, animals glued to ceilings and stored behind the counter for "later use/consumption". What I saw when I entered this so called Desert Pet establishment was a plethora of fresh, new ideas. The kept their animals in cages. Glass cubes with sealant and lids made from polypropylene? And screens with very very hot bulbs to replace sunlight and UV? It was spectacular. I would recommend one comes in to admire the animals within these small to medium sized boxes. They foster reptiles, amphibians, mammals and marine life including testudines.

Should have photographed some of the great finds in this store. New to me. I came for a brand of cat food flavored with mouse meat (why should snakes get all the mice?) And found lots of fun toys and supplies for pets, interesting feed you won't see in big box stores. Shop local - visit Desert Pet or a feed store near you for better choices!
