It's a great little park. The dogs really like it. It has 2 separate areas, one for large dogs and one for small. With source of water for drinking and doggy bags and trash cans for cleanup. Playground for the kids, benches to sit on. New Port Richey is great to provide this amenity! NOTE: apparently some people do not clean up after their pets 🙁 -- be part of the solution and your deeds can educate others.

Meadows Dog Park used to be a great dog park a few years ago but since then there are no doggie pools and dog bowls for water have been replaced with cooking pots. I just went the other day with my 5 pound puppy and there were multiple people not following the under 40 pound rule in the small dog area. It would have been fine if their dogs were timid or kept to themselves but there were 2 dogs that appeared to be 60 pounds that were pushy. On top of that their owners were on their phones the entire time not even paying attention to where their dogs were or what they were doing. After being there for only an hour and a half a total of 3 dog fights broke out. The 3rd one was the worst and ultimately why me and my friend decided to leave.

very sandy but my dogs loved it. Fence between large and small dog area is loose at the bottom- dogs can get under if so inclined. Mine were not- but a clever Shephard was and went back and forth while we were there.

There is an area for small dogs. I bring my 10 week old german shepherd puppy there
It's a dog park ....so ahhhh ...yeah
Yes one for small and one for big or both in the big one if your dog is ok with big dogs and there should be no aggressive or prey aggressive dogs at all.
If I had to guess I would say they are 5 ft max.
I have been there many times in the evening during the weekday and usually see the "big dog" side with all dog sizes. I have a medium and 4 small dogs, they all go to the big dog side. Every time I go the dogs sizes are random.
Sometimes park has 2 area's. But if others come you must share
