Great bike shop. Affordable prices, and nice folks. Good selection of products. I bought a bike for my short commute in a dodgy area. I returned later in the month to change the freewheel and they did it in 5 mins. Bike is smooth and quite now. Thanks Back Pedal. Your my new unpretentious shop.

I want to share my appreciation for the staff at this shop. I came in Saturday near the end of the work day with a busted skewer on my bike. The person at the front desk stopped what he was working on to help me get the part I needed. This got me back on the road quickly. I do appreciate the prompt service in this encounter.

Great work rejuvenating my Trek bike. Will be going back there for any maintenance or work in future.

Dave is the best guy I know, on a number of occasions I have brought my road bike and motorized bike for random repairs or parts, I always feel welcome and taken care of. If you are a compitant rider and not a snowflake of a person you will have a wonderful experience. Whenever you can give Dave your business and keep this local gem going, prices are great, service is great, and his selection of bikes both new and used. I have even walked in and been able to hagle down prices when I was in need of new clipped pedals.

I have my bike there since 6/4 should be ready this week.
I've only been bike commuting for about a year and have no idea how a professional would calculate that, but I can say that commuting up and down 82nd everyday bought me enough flat tires to last a lifetime and I always went to Backpedal for help. The owner is an awesome guy who clearly loves what he does and has been doing it for years. I've paid less before, sure, but he's 100% professional quality and I always ride away knowing I got solid work done. I'm usually pretty broke, and I was able to tell him my price range and get all my different options laid out matter-of-factly and never any pressure to buy up. He's like having that one friend who's a guru with bikes and never cheats you. You could always just go meet him and see what he says, then decide (?)
