Nail Church is just the best. For people like me, who do not always feel like we fit in at a standard salon, it's such an awesome experience and self-care resource to be able to go into this community/environment of folks. The techs are deliberate in setting up a friendly, conversational, welcoming, inclusive, communal atmosphere. They're also really great at showing their humanity and inviting patrons to do the same, all while being professional, prompt, detail-oriented, boundary-respectful, and on top of things. I also always enjoy the décor and plants, and the in-house pups, which all really brighten my day no matter how rainy it is outside.

I truly can’t say enough good things about Mary Jane and the entire Nail Church team! Everyone is super friendly and I always feel safe and welcomed. Mary has been doing my nails for years and she always does an incredible job! I was unsure of switching to Après but I love them so much! I always get so many compliments on my nails and I always recommend everyone to Nail Church 💕

The best nail artists in Portland. It took me forever to find a place that I really loved (tried Beaverton/LO places also)! Michaela is my nail tech but everyyyone that works here also does amazing work and are so kind/ hella funny. Tbh if you have a problem w this place it’s probably you lol. I will never go elsewhere!

I never feel the urge to write bad reviews but this one really saddens me, I went in with high hopes and a recommendation from my friend and came out angry and upset I wasted all this money and drove all this way for no reason being around Mary that had attitude for no reason and overall bad energy. 1- I gave Mary 1.5 wk notice of this appt and told her what I wanted on IG. mary agreed and acknowledged the design is possible. 2- she told me she might be bringing her dog so she didn’t have to rush, she brought her dog and STILL RUSHED 3- the appointment was booked 4-5:45 and I paid at 5:10 just because she rushed and didn’t put effort into making my nails look nice. 4- she didn’t even clean my nails properly like push the cuticles back and stuff even though I booked gel removal and paid extra for the service. 5- I asked a question regarding if there will be a bump on my nail (because she didn’t take the acrylic off all the way) and instead of saying yes or no she says “are you gonna be picky” as if I had done anything up to this point to be picky and then she proceeds to stare me down as if to intimidate me. If I’m paying all this money for a service I’m allowed to ask questions and have expectations of the service. 6- she was not friendly and definitely did not want to do my nails. She should’ve canceled if she didn’t wanna do my nails. 7- she said “trust your nail tech” then proceeded to do less than mediocre job. I knew from the beginning she was cutting corners and she gave no reasons as to why I should trust her when I knew she was just rushing to get my nails done so she can get paid and go home. 8- it’s only gold French tip and they’re not even. One thumb French tip is thicker than the other. 9- I told Mary in advance what design I wanted then to save her time she goes “you could just do one color” as if IM THE REASON we’re tight on time. She SHOULDNT HAVE TAKEN THE APPT IF SHE DIDNT HAVE TIME!! 10- Mary knew I was going on a big trip the next day after my appointment (3/8) and still did not give a single flying sh!t to make my nails look nice when it’s pretty freaking clear I wanted nice nails especially for my big trip. The only nice thing was that Chelsea who my friend uses was informed of the experience and said to come in for the same service at 50% off and while I would’ve loved to try it out again as her work looks great, she’s very booked so It would be hard to become a regular.

Yes! All e-gift cards are available through our booking site, Square. Let us know if you need any help!

Are appointments required?

Not required but always a good idea! We tend to book out several weeks in advance so walk-in appointments are almost never available.
