Had the worst experience here. Came for a 3 night stay before a wedding and didn't even make it too the ceremony after a horrible customer service interaction. The only plus to this hotel is that it is right next to McDonald's and a Safeway. $13.00 for avacado toast at their "Bistro" and Novato is far from LA for prices like that.

Seconding the reviews of others, this area is unsafe. There's nothing wrong with the hotel itself, rooms are clean and staff seems kind and attentive. During my stay I noticed a couple in the stairwell as I was leaving. My door had failed to latch in the past so when I hit the bottom of the stairs I decided to go double check it. By the time I was back up the couple was in my room. Once I unlocked the door they pushed past me and bolted from the building, but I was pretty shaken. I told the front desk and they immediately did a sweep of the place, but I would not recommend anyone stay here.

This Marriott property was good for our stay. We didn't use the amenities as we were with family during the days but we assume they would be well maintained. My only complaint is that the parking lot was not litter free. I'd say that staff could go out each morning and pick up cans, butts and masks left by other travelers or the neighbors.
