Awesome fully decorated rooms. Great service. Same price as Portal Lodge. You get way more for your buck here. However it's hard to get reservations as this place is popular. Recommend to book in advance

Yes thanks for the rebuttal ,Dan. Nice embellishments. Again three adults. And a 7 year old child. so how does it go from from 3 adults ,to six adults..and two children..?Me and my wife spent our honeymoon there for four nights spent over $500 we were good then... Then we were offered showers and laundry because we have moved into Rodeo. And we have been homesteading for a month and a half ,living in tents., With the Southwest winds .our camp was decimated a few times and this was our only refuse to shower and wash clothes...There was no issues a few times we came to do laundry ,and shower.. then there was a time ,when we were waiting for our laundry to dry and we took a walk down to the cafe and back, and on the way back I saw a gentleman with a hat walking out of the laundry room and shower room. Didn't think nothing of it. He was a contract US mail carrier that was staying in one of the RV spots. My wife went into the water closet which she calls a bathroom, and came out and said that the handle was broken ,and put on top of the toilet. I told her to go tell Dan that it was broken. Dan comes out all thick lipped, and big-eyed .looks at us and says I can guarantee you there's nobody else has used this bathroom... I told him that I seen a gentleman with a hat come out and go towards the RV Park. Then he looks at the ground says oh yes , he's been a problem he's flooded the bathroom twice this week I'm going to have to have a talk with him. Never apologized or anything.. class ....that's the mountain valley Lodge guarantee... The truth is the truth get over yourself sell that place go back to California...shame.. good luck in your future endeavors..

Friendly and accommodating owner. Facilities were very basic for an RV park - it's just a yard with hook up. $25 plus tax includes power but the showers and bathroom were in a kind of cold outhouse with partition walls and you needed $2 in quarters for an 8 minute shower. This place is ok if you are self sufficient and passing through and you need the power, but if you like to make use of the facilities then I'd travel to a state park and stay there for the same price. If you don't need power you can park in the community park across the road for free, or at the desert museum if you are visiting. What we should have done!

RESPONSE to a post ...Might have been a nice place to stay, but the manager I tried to speak with was a real TOOL! Snotty, curt and generally indifferent to anything related to our stay. Maybe he will not last long and they get someone nice to replace him. But for now: AVOID------------------------------------- --------------- Wanted to respond to this post--- Sorry you felt bad on how you said you were treated-- a little confused I have to say --but maybe you were looking for a rest stop since you mentioned that you didn't stay or had reservations. We are not a rest stop and sometimes people can be snotty if we are full and don't have a restroom that they can use. I know that Daniel and Troy do there best in treating people the best we can but sometimes it does not work 100 % all the time. I think like myself if I have a problem with something go to that person and voice your complaint instead of complaining on the internet that way things may work out much better and improvements can be maid. I know it hurts us when someone is not happy because we work hard to make everybody happy...Sorry again -- next time you may decide to stay with us. We do value feed back good or bad . Thanks Dan.
