Like someone else mentioned, don’t plan on coming here over the weekend because there is never any mention of large events. They don’t advertise it at the park, and neither their Instagram page or website ever mention events and the entire park will be closed for it. This park has come so far in a handful of years I hope it won’t be ruined. They certainly have redeemed themselves in one way by adding the farmers market on Thursdays! It’s quaint but the vendors are amazing. I just wish there was any heads up about weekend events.

What a park! As we all stop watering our landscapes, I hope this park continues to keep their turf green as a public amenity. You can kick off your shoes here and run around in the immaculate and extensive grass. The park is huge, lovely, and super fun for kite flying. Great views of downtown LA. 💚

Really enjoyed the kite festival (05/21/2022) it was the second year. A lot of people came out, there are nice public restrooms and portable restrooms too with hand washing stand too. There is a shake shack restaurant at the end (nearest to the metro station). There is parking on a dirt area in front, but there is plenty of parking on the street, we were lucky enough to find parking on the street within minutes.

A beautiful downtown park, that LA has beautifully renovated for a bright future. It’s perfect for a quick workout, picnic with friends or a date. Plus it’s right off the gold line and about a 1/2 mile from Union Station.

The longest distance you can go WITHIN the gates of the park, not including the sidewalk by the street is 1.2 miles.

Yes their are restrooms they open at 8AM. The parking lot charges $2 per hour / $8 all day. The parking lot is opened at 8AM. I believe the gate closest to the Chinatown Metro Station is opened prior to 8AM
No it right now , but they just build a new snack bar there. They sell food , when things get back to normal
Halloween.
Park is too big to be considered busy IMO. Obviously more people on the weekend. Restrooms are port-a-potties currently and are open.
Didn't see any bicycles plus it isn't that big of a park for riding no challenges !🚶♂️🚶♀️🏃♂️🏃♀️
Check with the event
YOU Do not NEED BUY tickets, the concert,os free.
You can Google it
You only need to pay for Parking
I don't think they're lights
Sunday is great day to play frisbee, if has to many people it will be too crowded and you need to make sure that has no events, last event has more then 1000 people, parking is $10 some time you can find free parking around the park, if has no big event the restrooms are clean.
Hello Ana, street parking is free and paid parking inside the park, I usually find street parking since it's mostly warehouses on that street.
Well there is something going on music, people and swings lol will check it out later. It is ice cream day museum day or something a lot of people dressed in pink.
There are picnic tables, no grills. Nice place to take your lunch and go for a walk.
And
I do not know about events at this park. I live in Victorville in Victorville. I visit this park when I come to LA.
