So I’m pretty conflicted, because even though this place was great as far as the animal exhibits were concerned, the park itself was a great disappointment. We loved visiting the monkeys, jaguars, leopards, birds, lizard animals, and things like that, but the park was not taken care of very well. The signs were warping and falling apart. The baby animals building’s restroom wasn’t operating, and there was a giant trash container on the main thoroughfare (Who does that)! The sky lift cafe didn’t have operational AC in 113 degrees, just a box fan in the corner of the room, which is just nuts to me. My family was miserable. The last thing that was pretty disappointing, was that none of the rides were in operation, and none of the food and drink booths were open. Also, the most ridiculous thing ever, was that when we went in to the Safari Grill, they charged us for ice! It was 113 degrees, and they charged us for ice! How…asinine. So, though this place has a great legacy and heritage, it gets two stars, and for now I will say, “Go visit the Phoenix zoo…it’s much better.” If it weren’t for the awesome animals, this place would get one star from me!

So, it's better to go after 4:00pm because of the rides are 1/2 price or a dollar or two. It's fun to go on the rides in the different zones. So you can take a breather, and rest. It's a long walk, need some water. They didn't have any souvenir cups that you can get refills with that are cheaper than getting a new drink every time. But we got our tickets through Groupon, so it wasn't that expensive. You can see a great deal more animals here than you could the Phoenix Zoo, because of the heat they tend to stay inside their cages and don't come out so you can see them.I have give the ladies at the seal exhibit a great deal of Kudos. They had to cancel the show earlier that day because it's was too hot. They gave us a little mini show when they were feeding them. It was pretty nice so it was very upfront and personal seeing the seals. Overall it was a good time. I'd go back maybe when it wasn't so hot. And thanks again to the ladies at the seal exhibit!

Top notch zoo. The animals look healthy and they have adequate shading for them when it gets extremely hot outside. They have shows at various parts of the day and are very informative. This zoo also has rides but you pay for them separately. There are also cafes and vending machines all over the park. It is a little pricey but it is worth it. Enjoyed the day.

Awesome zoo! Probably one of the best I have ever been too. The animals are just so live and vibrant! Most of the animals were playing and having a good time. The zoo definitely takes the building maintenance and animal enclosures seriously 110% at all times, very great too see.

Seriously here's my thing if you saw a dog that had a sign that says "do not pet i bite "then you pet the dog and get bit is it the dogs fault? No it's yours because you are a idiot That's a awesome zoo also Elizabeth yes your absolutely right

That I don't know, but I did see several wheelchairs to rent!
Yes. And there are a few in the park. The restaurant is more of a sports grill but still nice
