Awesome place to dry camp for $8/night. Sites are huge and spread out. The petroglyphs are amazing.b Apparently the #1 Petroglyph area in AZ. A great 1 hour video talk on the area on YouTube that talks about history of the area.

Great place to see the stars! Very quiet at night. Sites are relatively spaced out. There are both reserved sites and first come sites. Nice hosts on site. It's off a paved road so easy access. We will be back.

Very quite with lots of space between camping sites. The drive in front the freeway is all paved. The petroglyph are now fenced off but still very visible.

Small site but great collection of petroglyphs and campground was very nice, sure were nice and level and good sized. Pit toilets were very clean and we'll maintained. We would definitely stop by here again.

There are 60 individual sites and 2 group sites. The fee is $8 per vehicle per night. Some passes will allow for a $4 per night discount.
I don't know? Why?
Correction. The cost is $8 per night. No reservation. I spoke to a ranger this morning because the fee envelopes were gone, as were the doggie waste bags. They are supposed to replace them today. You can save some money if you have a National Park Pass.
Hard to miss it. Quite a short hike. Amazing petroglyphs!!

Agreed to all. It is quite unique. We donated because it's more of an honor system. Threw in $20 for checking out the painted rocks and campground.
No pets are allowed but it is usually too hot to leave them in the car. Additionally, there is usually few or no people around the site... also be aware that the rocks are perfect habitat for snakes and other reptiles... leashes are a good thing!😉
not sure on that one,but u can just go in,I did,I was only person around for miles....
