The meter maids here are highly aggressive in the downtown area. I was incorrectly ticketed for a license plate violation. I got it signed off, the cop told me the citation should have been for registration not a plate violation. My other friend was also ticketed that month. We no longer go to the downtown area anymore as a result. So calm down and remember this affects the local businesses too. There is spirit if the law, try it once in a while.

Higher Standards

Where to start! Zer0 integrity, lack of morals, officers unable to pass the fitness test, Corruption, did I mention a total lack of integrity. The best thing the town could do is clean house on this festering drain on the city's resources

All of my experiences with the Monrovia Police Department have been extremely positive. They are incredibly friendly, responsive, helpful and exhibit the utmost professionalism. They endeavor to solve problems in the most expeditious way. Given the repeated, satisfactory interactions I have had with the MPD, and recognizing how increasingly difficult policing work has become in this day and age, I am frankly surprised at the derogatory commentary found on this website. I love living in Monrovia, and part of this has to do with the great job that our local police, fire and other public workers supply to the community. Kudos to them and the fine work they do!
