Do not, I repeat do not go to this shop. The mechanic that works here is definitely not qualified or knowledgeable about exhaust systems. Does not know how to weld. You will end up paying to fix their mistake. Don’t trust the owner as well. He cuts corners to fill his pocket.

I want to first state that I am writing this review in 100% complete honesty, and only to prevent this from happening to someone else. The reason I had work done here is because of the reviews itself and for the standing reputation of this business that has been open for over 20 years. I had my catalytic converter (bank 2) replaced and welded on to my vehicle. I don’t remember the mechanics name but I believe him to be Mannys only Mechanic on site. I brought along with me the fault code that was printed out at Auto Zone which was stating the catalytic converter (bank 2) was bad. When I showed him that, and told him what side needed to be done he then made me physically point to which side of the vehicle needed to be done…Once he was done with the work he called me over to look at it while the vehicle was still on the hoist. Upon review of the work to the exhaust system it literally looked like a two year old welded this converter on. If you know anything about welding a catalytic converter or anything with an exhaust system, it needs to be a clean job. Otherwise you will surely end up with an exhaust leak or the inevitable check engine light. I paid, and then before I left I noticed there was a check engine light still on. So I had him put the reader back on and noticed it now I had a new code. He assures me by saying “this has nothing to do with the catalytic converter.” I said okay, I’ll go get a new reading to double check. So I left. I get to AutoZone, I have them do a new check engine light diagnostic and see now that the new code points to an O2 sensor on the bank 2 side which Was new. So I get underneath my truck outside AutoZone and see that the O2 wire sensor wire and the connector itself is completely melted from the weld job that was just done. So now I get back to the shop, and ask to speak to the owner but also with the mechanic that did this job in the same office. I explain the issue while Manny and his Mechanic are both in the same room. While explaining the issue manny states “Can you get to the point, I’m trying to make a conference call.” The mechanic then denies that he had anything to do with it. But then states “I won’t contest to it, if he says I did it by mistake then I will get it fixed.” I agree to have it fixed. The mechanic himself makes a phone call to his friend. I then wait for an hour and a half for this friend show up. His friend shows up he talks to the mechanic, and then leaves. Two hours later… Actually over two hours later this friend shows up with a new connector. Obviously he was out pulling it from a junkyard.I wait exactly an hour and 37 minutes for them to fix it. He then has me come over and check the work. The check engine light is now off but also there’s a lot of electrical tape over the connector and the wire itself where the connection is. Two days later the check engine light comes back on, I get a new reading from AutoZone. It now states the same issue on the catalytic converter to begin with on bank 2 side but also now the bank two o2 sensor is bad as well. At this point I take it to somebody else. They pull back the electrical tape in front of me. And not only is the connector that they put on a completely different connector not even belonging to a Chevrolet, but also the colors of the wires to the new connector didn’t even add up to the colors of the wire harness that is attached to the vehicle itself. I believe he took it off a Ford truck. Obviously they put on the electrical tape in excess to hide the mistake… I had to literally buy the catalytic converter unit itself with bank 1-2 and have it put on along with a new connector as well. Again, I am only wasting the 30 minutes of my life to write this to help somebody in the future. I have nothing to gain from this. I have no vendetta. But this shop is the reason people say “don’t trust mechanics.” Shame on me for going to you. I haven’t been to a shop in years. And if Mannys muffler shop is reading this, shame on you. Karma is real, and if you’re not already feeling it it’s right around the corner.

Just had some mufflers installed and they did a great job. I'm very ocd about my car and the gentleman took his time making sure everything was aligned properly. Definitely will again for any exhaust needs.

Great job on my catalytic converter! I was in and out in less than an hour and they beat all the other shops prices I had looked up. They also made some good recommendations on other parts of the car that might need attention pretty soon. Already referred a friend with the same issue my car had.
