Very cool volcanic deposits in and around the KOA property, to include a walking trail with interpretive signs! Cabin was very nice, although the previous visitor had left quite a bit of dog hair floating around the cabin. RV sites are fully gravel with a few trees. Good stopover, and not too big or crowded, so nice and quiet.

We stopped here for a quick overnight. It’s an easy on and off the interstate and is hands down one of the most hospitable campgrounds we’ve ever stayed at. They gave us cookies (for ourselves and our dog) upon check-in, came to check on us after we got set up, and they even offer fresh cooked food delivered right to your site. If you’re working remotely, there is excellent AT&T and Verizon coverage and so-so T-Mobile. Definitely recommend!

We stayed here within days of their "Covid grand re-opening" it was pretty empty but was extremely convenient to everything we needed. The staff was great, and so was the campsite. They have a large natural area for the pets that our dogs could have sniffed for weeks. We did not use the amenities but we would definitely stay here again.

Best bathroom and shower facilities we have encountered in our 5 months of travel. Very well kept and very helpful people. Check out the area while you are there. Most people don’t but it’s beautiful! Inscription Rock at El Morro Nation Monument is incredible. Sandstone Bluff Overlook is beautiful and the kids love playing in the rocks. New Mexico Mining Museum (Grants). Super fun for the kids as well. All my kids wanted to go back to all of these places the next day.
