This is more personal (not about banking) in 1976 I happened to be 13 and was in the cocktail lounge with my family at the Bonaventure hotel soon bound for LAX and back home to Seattle. It was night and I was taking in the modernism of my environment. I was in awe! Seattle was still a small town and I hoped for more modern skyscrapers every day. As the lounge revolved buildings lit with corporate signage came into view that was new to me and I was so impressed! corporate power! UCB (United California bank) and now (AON), Union bank, Crocker bank, Arco and Bank of America, One Wilshire and finally sitting at a 45-degree angle and standing alone was Security Pacific Bank The logo for SPB was a modern S it appeared black during the day which perfectly matched the vertically striped windows and at night when lit it equally matched the vertical white granite. At night the S could be seen for miles and when I would visit LA I always knew where it was. The logos since have ruined the essence of 333 Hope St. (Picture was in 1994) unfortunately the top of the picture showing the Security Pacific Bank logo may have been cut off.

Worst bank service ever. Never get a credit card with them. Let me tell you about my experience using the Alaska credit card. I closed the account in June, and then received a letter (not even email) that I needed to pay late fees for this card (after I had closed it!!). When I closed the account, I had paid off all the charges, but a re-occurring charge occurred in the system, and instead of an automatic rejection the the card being charged, the system re-opened somehow and they continued to charge me an annual fee and late fees for four months. I've never had bad credit. When I called back, and they recognized that I had closed the card yet this still happened, they made it very difficult to reverse the charges. This bank will not take responsibility for THEIR system error and they are taking advantage of customers. Terrible. Terrible. Terrible. Really such a shame to the name - Bank of America. Out of all the banks in America, this one should be the last resort in my years of experiences banking with multiple banks.

This branch always has an issue either to cash your check, this time I drive in a hurry to make a deposit for my boss after I make the transaction I ask for validation and they simple they don't have any they have not received them which is unbelievable so I ask the manager "do you mean I have to pay and he simply says Yes? Worse service ever I'm conducting business at their branch the least they can do is give validation it is unbelievable that such a branch will not have parking validation I ended up paying $8.80, that's why I don't like BoA, they charge for even conducting business at their branch.

I work across the street from this building and really enjoy the temporary art installations they have here from time to time. I also enjoy the gorgeous permanent sculpture by Alexander Calder in the front courtyard, as well as the grounds which include man-made waterfalls that are very soothing to downtown office workers on their lunch break.

Underground parking entrance is on S. Hope where 3rd runs into the building and the Flower entrance is open durring daytime hours of around 6 - 8. There is also a 4th street gate but I've never seen it open.
