It was sad!! So many dogs and puppies in need of a forever family!! I adopted a very cute puppy!! But it was clean and the young woman who helped us was very nice. The pup I adopted had ticks when we got him home. Don't know if they knew this.

Wish I could give this place zero stars. I was traveling and ended up stopping in NM for the night and I found two kittens that were barely 4 weeks old and appeared to definitely have some medical conditions that needed to be assessed. The woman sounded like she smokes two packs a day and was utterly heartless and just could care less, almost like this was a massive inconvenience. I asked her if she could take them and her excuse was “no because you found them in the city limits“. Which doesn’t make any sense because these kittens were found in the county that this shelter services. You’re better off going to a rescue organization.

Got Henry (formerly Bill) a few weeks ago. The staff and volunteers were extremely helpful and patient. My wife wasn't able to be there with me so they gave me plenty of time with him in their play area so that I could call and send her pictures while we decided what to do. He absolutely adored the staff there, completely ignoring me whenever they came outside. Even gave me some treats to give him while we were talking. We're both so happy with our little bundle of joy!

OK I would expect to be able to call them even during the weekend. To be so helpless and lost and confused and not have any help from the city to help find your baby is beyond unbelievable for me, what else do our taxes go to? I have lost my baby you guys are closed and I have no help and I’m helpless and I just moved there and I would hope and be able to expect to call somebody to help me and there’s nothing in Alamogordo that can do anything to help me! Soo disappointed………..

Yes...we adopted a fur baby without worries...wonderful staff...very considerate and eager to help...
The proper term will be "spay/spayed" and vaccines are usually not required to schedule a spay appointment
As far as I know, they go to the county shelter in Alamogordo.
Yes
