A great spot for shopping and eating (& catching the ferry) Some of the merchant shops and restaurants had changed hands since my last visit Pre Covid but the quality is still there. Prices are above average but the queues of local office workers that line up for a seat to eat are a testimony to the quality. Would recommend a visit even just to sit outside at rear of the building and watch the world go by.

Cool place to get a view of the bridge. Also really fun to just grab one of the rental scooters to travel from the bridge to the fisherman’s wharf. The building has a ton of good places to grab snacks or meals

It's a great experience. Behind the Ferry building, there is huge place for sitting and enjoying the views. One can enjoy watching Bay bridge, ferries, skyline of Sanfrancisco etc., Statue of Mahatma Gandhi here, comes as a surprise. Inside the building are shops and eateries. Rest rooms are well maintained.

The boat was clean, not overly crowded (on a Thur.) and the crew and terminal staff were friendly and informative. I was very disappointed to find out it no longer goes to Fisherman's wharf but only the Ferry Building. It is not cheap either, cant imagine commuting on it daily. It cost $23.00 round trip for 1 adult. Kids under 5 free. You can save a couple bucks by getting a clipper card. Definitely recommend it, makes it easy. Parking is $8 for the day in the lot across the street.

Check the website;)
If you can avoid it, dont leave luggage or items of any worth visible in a vehicle. But if you dont have a choice, try to hide it as best you can. Parking garages might be a better choice then on the street. And if have to park on the street just try parking in a high traffic area so if something suspicious happens other people presence might make it not so comfortable an environment to break in. Its a risk. But near the ferry building i usually see a lot of cops so your choose in the end.
Park on Soma, take a nice walk. No parking there. There's paid parking lots up the street, too.
Absolutely, depending on where you start. However, you can get public transit or Uber as well.
The building closes at 10 p.m. but the shops close at different times
I used to work in the building not long ago and can confirm there is no luggage storage in the building.
Depends on what you want to buy. If you just need a memory card or common charging cable you can go to Walgreens which is nearby.
There is a place inside the ferry building that sells dungenous crab. Then there is a large sea food place with an outdoor area that faces the ferry terminals and the bridge. It has indoor seating also.
It is open. But some of the stores and restaurants may be closed. Better check to merchants' websites if looking for any specific.
Takes about 15 minutes when traffic is light.
Yes
Yes, there are decorations on the walls so you can take selfies on them.

Yes.
Well maybe a bit misstated .... how is the present of bird droppings going to be dealt with?
There is a large wine bar inside the building. On the side facing market street there is a beer garden style bar, but i don't think it stays open very late...
