Overall, I would say it was a great experience! Two downsides are that there were quite a few wasp nests in our patio area and that some food selections seemed to not be available while we were there. With that being said, even though we didn’t always get the food we wanted, the food we got was very delicious. Highly recommend the salmon burger if it’s available. The staff was very friendly, the location was absolutely stunning and perfect to take our dogs for their daily walks. Our room was really nice, very spacious and of course having our own personal hot tub was really nice. If you are looking for a quiet and secluded place for a relaxing getaway, then this is the perfect place to go!

Hands down one of my favorite getaways! My husband found this place on the internet. We were looking for a place to spend our anniversary. Very quiet, peaceful, beautiful, and secluded. I LOVED IT! I feel so rested! The property is beautiful! I loved our room. The decor is very nice. Loved our private balcony with a fireplace. The water they had in the room was delicious and refreshing! It was Rocky Mountain Spring Water. They have beautiful trails. We went on a nature hike. Our guide was Yo. Awesome personality. We had a great time with him. They have a petting zoo which was super cute. They had a bunny, baby goats, chickens, and ducks. SO CUTE!! We also had a great time horseback riding. Our guide Taylor was amazing! There is an auto museum on the property as well. If you like classic cars, you'll want to go to this museum. I'm not into cars that much and even I enjoyed it! The staff at the resort are very friendly and attentive. They open doors for you when you enter the lobby and my husband loved the chocolate chip cookies they had at the front desk everyday. Lol. This is definitely a great romantic place for couples and a great place for the whole family and friends. They have things to do for everyone!

Really great place! Beautiful views and the room was very nice with a private hot tub and a fireplace in the room. Nice hiking with trailhead at the resort. The staff were always very friendly and Jesse called when our room was ready early.

The resort and the canyons made for a quiet, beautiful escape. We really enjoyed the rooms and how much character they had. It was lovely sitting out on our balcony with the fire pit in the mornings and evenings. The food was good even though only one restaurant on the grounds was open, Paradox Grille. If you’re staying for a couple of days or the weekend, the selection should be fine. As we ended up staying for 5-6 days, we found ourselves looking for more selection later on. The staff were all nice and accommodating, though during our stay it looks like several were all in training. Though everyone from the front desk to the wait staff at the restaurant to the grounds keeping staff were kind, we especially appreciated the help and suggestions from Mike, the lead guide at the Adventure Center. If you’re looking for things to do or recommendations, definitely visit him at the adventure center. He has a great grasp of the geography and how the weather affects our ability to do things. The front desk, though helpful in other aspects, unfortunately recommended an itinerary along a road that wasn’t quite safe to drive yet due to the remaining ice and snow. Mike ended up recommending a fantastic, self-led itinerary along the Dolores River. The only issue we had was that several activities that are advertised on their website and videos have been permanently or temporarily discontinued. For example, driving the luxury cars along the canyon has been discontinued due to crashes from guests. The shooting range has been discontinued at least since last year due to the increased price of ammunition. Some other activities weren’t available simply due to the time of year because of the latent ice on the mountains. Before you go, I’d recommend getting an updated list of available activities from the resort.
