The bathroom door is more of a closet door and there is no lock. Dog keeps pushing the door that open. No fan or window in the bathroom. Door to the room doesn't shut itself and you have to force it to close which makes a loud noise. Beds are okay. One of the first that I didn't wake up in a lot of pain. Lots of space in the rooms with 2 full beds.

Convenient location. Generally the hotel is what you expect for your basic hotel, however, the beds were small and fairly uncomfortable. The room was extremely hot even with setting thermostat to 65; it didn't get comfortable until it was set to 63. The tub is kind of gross as the non-slip mat is coming up and has gunk around it. The water temp is set so low, you barely get a mildly hot shower with very little water coming out of the head. Whatever breakfast was supposed to be available was cleaned up and gone by 9:40 AM when I went down. Wouldn't want to stay again.

I love the architecture and furniture. I like that the room had a mini fridge, microwave, hair dryer and iron and ironing board. It was the details that disappointed me, like blobs of gross looking things on the wall in our room, breakfast not having eggs or some kind of meat so the breakfast can be substantial enough to make you not feel hungry until lunch. There was a bar of soap not in a wrapper left out and no hand lotion in the bathroom. The bathtub looked old and dirty with rusty looking stains around the edges. The bathroom and door knobs felt dirty. There was no fan in the bathroom. It would have helped because then we could have slept through the noise from a drunk man being loud in and of above us at 3am to 5am in the morning. We were in room 128. We had a dog and I love La Quinta for the fact that dogs are welcome and they do not charge a pet fee. I was disappointed when taking our doggie out to go potty ~ there was a lot of older feces everywhere. It's a bummer some owners aren't responsible to pick up after their dogs with the complimentary doggie bags but it would have been so nice to have guest friendly service where staff would check the area enough to keep the amount down to minimal. I loved that the front desk employee did not have a problem giving me a late check out for we had arrived after midnight and were so grateful. We were not grateful in the morning around 8-8:30 when a housekeeper knocked on a nearby door loudly three different times in a loud voice saying "housekeeping". The knocks were sharp and loud. I've worked in three different hotels in the past and there are more guest-friendly knocking protocols that do not bother guests as much. The front desk gentleman did great to notify housekeeping we were a late check out and we were happy they did not knock on our door at the normal check out time. I had visited this same hotel several years ago and had a much different experience where all details and everything was so superb and would tell people to definitely visit it if they are in the Orem area. I probably won't be directing anyone to come here unless they want a pet-friendly hotel with free dog stay. Sorry. It feels like it needs more tender loving care and I will probably try another place the next time I need to find a hotel in the area.

Unimpressed. Based on the pics and descriptions I was hopeful their updating of the hotel was a success. Turns out it was mostly new paint and bedding. The beds were nice. The hot tub was barely warmer then the pool. The bathroom doors are closet type doors. Breakfast consisted of just waffles, and some grab and go bagels, toast, yogurt.

We did, although I didn't ask. If you do choose to bring beverages to the area, use plastic or paper absolutely no glass in the pool area.
