I would personally AVOID THIS PLACE AT ALL COSTS. Staff are unpleasant and hostile. Overpriced in exchange for grimey rooms with unexplainable weird stains on carpet, yellowing towels, pubic hair in the shower tub, rusty and nasty shower handles and drain, moldy shower curtain, and overall sense of filth in the entire place. And (to their defense, they can’t help this), the water is sulfuric and smells like rotten eggs. Also our TV didn’t work… I recommend camping or driving a little longer to another hotel.

Judging from the hotel's website, you'd think this place was...at least passable. But like many prior reviews of this hotel, I need to emphasize that you must absolutely avoid this place with extreme prejudice. We booked this hotel room because there was little else available in or around Glenallen, but now that we experienced the hotel, we realize we should have slept in the ditch. It would have been more enjoyable. Where do I begin - the front desk staff did not initially agree to let us pay for the room in cash. They argued over the rate of the room, although we had a confirmation e-mail with the correct rate. There was duct tape all over the windows, and mosquitoes in the room. The tub and sink were full of rust, and there was no water pressure. The towels were visibly filthy, the toilet barely flushed, and the water stunk. The only saving grace was the big, spacious fridge. This was literal highway robbery and nowhere worth close to $200 USD a night. More like $29.

Clean and comfy. The bathroom tub could use a better scrubbing, but it wasn't terrible. I appreciated that Slade, the gentleman who checked me in, inspected the room before handing over the key. He also alerted me to the Northern Lights being out, so yay! Warm, friendly conversations had with locals. Thanks for a lovely stay in Glennallen!

Stayed 2/17/22 enroute to Anchorage for the weekend. Nice staff, decent lobby & parking but rooms are definitely in need of updates. Cracked tub floor, worn out carpet etc... 2022 not 1950's.
