I have been going to Neighborhood Healthcare for well over 10 yrs. I find the clinic to be clean. The staff are very nice and helpful. I have been through quite a few Drs but never had a problem with one. I see Dr Dorothy Liu and Dr Hannah Green. They are both helpful and thorough. The front desk is always very nice. I will continue to go here for 10 more years as long as my health wills it.

One of the worse health center you can visit. The doctors are unprofessionals they don’t respect their patients or their appointments!!!! I’m not coming back here anymore and I don’t recommended to anybody.

My first impression wasn't a good one. I was quoted one price, but once procedure was complete they gave me a different price. They may present good work ethics, and hygiene but their customer service is by far the worse. Getting in touch with them by phone is very difficult to do; I was on hold over 30 minutes, so I hung up. The second time I called, because there was no alternative, it took over 55 minutes. I guess if you had medical insurance, and never needed to speak to them for anything, it would be an ok place. Their rating speaks for itself.

This clinic is useless and horrible!!!! Every time I call it's a 20 to 45 min wait time!!! It's inexcusable that they take forever to answer a call. This clinic does not provide the medication needed for people. Their rating should say something to the medical board. If they can't provide the necessary treatment or patient calls on a timely based manner, they need to be shut down..

Hi Georgeo: Our Patient Service Representatives can help determine what cash pay options are available for you. Please give us a call at 1-833-867-4642. Thank you.
MHS =Mental Health Services and they do treat those
They take walk ins but you have to wait and if the list is full you won't be seen that day you'll have to come back the next day best to get there right when they open
Yes
Hi Erin: We accept patients with or without insurance. However if you do have medical insurance, Neighborhood Healthcare would need to be your assigned PCP/provider through your insurance. If you need more assistance, feel free to call us at 619-440-2751. - NHcare
Hi Donna: Unfortunately we do not accept the Medicare Advantage Plan at this time. We do accept Aetna Medi-Cal with VMG. - NHcare (Neighborhood Healthcare)
Neighborhood Healthcare has walk-in appointments available on any day that we're open, but the wait times for walk-in appointments varies greatly. We encourage you to call ahead to check on wait times and see if any appointments are available, if at all possible. - NHcare
You'll have to call them and ask. The vast majority of the patients here have coverage by the likes of MediCal and Medicare, so cash payments are unusual to say the least. Assuming that you would be a new patient, definitely call for an appointment, and be prepared for a considerable wait, as in more than an hour prior to actually seeing a physician. You will be required to fill out a LOT of paperwork before even being moved to an exam room. If you are currently ill or injured, you may want to consider going to an urgent care or emergency room. There are a few clinics in this area, East County Urgent Care, MinuteClinic, and AFC Urgent Care, are all in El Cajon or Santee. Good luck!
The cost of an office visit will vary depending on a number of factors, such as: Are you currently sick or injured? If so, you're probably going to require lab work (they have an on-site lab complete with Phlebotomists), or possibly imaging of some kind (no on-site imaging of any kind, so you will be referred to an outside provider), or just a regular physical exam? Another thing, most, or possibly all of the patients have some kind of government subsided health insurance, so they might not accept cash. They do accept walk-ins, but I don't know if that's true for first time patients. Regardless, allow plenty of time for your first visit, there is a LOT of paperwork to fill out. Bottom line is you should call them for definitive answers to your questions.
Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday 8:00am to 5:00pm. Tuesday's 8:00am to 8:00pm. Saturday 8:00am to 12:00pm. Closed for lunch on Wednesday 12:00pm to 1:30pm.
