Riding Meadow Park

I have no clue how this park doesn’t have 5 stars all around and I’m confused who gave it 1 star. This is the best dog park in Pittsburgh. It’s trails and a creek and dogs are free to roam all over. It’s a dream. You do need a permit to park though… also I guess if your dog is a runner and doesn’t listen well to you it may be hard to find him since the dog has so much freedom to roam.. it’s literally like a hike in the woods with your dog who is actually allowed to be off leash it’s the best

It is a nice park with lots of trails. Its carpark is fairly hidden, and parking is by permit only. The entrance to the carpark is on Squaw Run E Rd, directly opposite the by-foot only walking trail entrance going into the park. The carpark is fairly large with space for 20 or so cars. This picture shows the view from the carpark looking towards the road and park.

My dog LOVED this park. It's a beautiful enclosed hike with a creek he got to swim in.

I love this off-leash dog park because there are trails to hike and lots of places for your dog to play in the stream. We have had a couple (very few) occassions where people were not in control of their aggressive dog, but that's been rare. It is a beautiful location that we are fortunate to have in our community.
