I love living here. It’s safe, quiet, everyone is friendly. The office staff and maintenance are WONDERFUL! My ac stopped working and I didn’t realize it until around 5:30 when I got home from work. Maintenance immediately came to fix it (after hours, mind you) and when they couldn’t fix it that evening, brought me a portable ac unit and installed it for me for the night. They were back the next day and had it fixed in no time! I’ve lived here since July 2020 and I honestly don’t want to live anywhere else. The only downside is that I’ve had two different neighbors since I’ve moved in and they’re both La Roche students who treat the building like a dorm hall. The second one was very obnoxious with his parties and started harassing me when my dogs would bark (they only barked because he would slam doors and blast music.) It got to the point where his friends were drinking outside of my door in the hallway on a week-long party binge between Christmas and New Years, and he started drunkenly harassing me to the point where he was pounding on my door at 10 at night to “address my dogs” (who hadnt even been barking at that time). I finally called management about it and they addressed it immediately. Another downside is the parking, but if you request a reserved spot, it’s not a problem (and it’s only like $20 or $25 a month- totally worth it.)

Everything looks nice the pool the apartments and the townhomes at first. But later on when your living here many problems come up. One time I was away and they had to do maintenance when I came back on I heard that 2 people were in the house one doing the maintenance and one taking pictures? I thought that was a little strange since we didn’t give consent to pictures only maintenance. And while me and my family were away for vacation we got back with 2 notes on our door. One saying a problem and the other explaining all our problems we had. 1 being poor house care which I understand once we have boxes laying everywhere but that shouldn’t be a problem. The next was saying that we had 1 kid listed but had 2 in our home. But that was since our oldest went to college. The next one was we couldn’t have reptiles in the building which was weird. And the last was we had something wrong with the bathroom which we had nothing at all. I do not recommend living here for more then a year.

I was a resident at this location for almost 4 years. When I first moved in, it was great. The management was responsive to problems and accommodating. At some point the person in the office changed and the new person there was the total opposite of Danielle. We had, according to the lease, until the 5th of every month to pay the rent. When the rent was not in on the first, we had a notice to pay or vacate on the door. They tore out all of the greenery and cut down trees, so it looks less like a country residential setting and more like a institutional setting. It is not homey anymore. The walls are paper thin so you can hear everything...EVERYTHING. Footsteps, voices, music...all of it. They do not care to adhere or hold people accountable to quiet hours and will tell you the only thing they can do is post a notice on problem neighbor's doors, which they did not even do half the time. They have been letting anyone and everyone move in there, so as a result, the drug dealing activity has more than tripled. It got to the point that even calling the police had no effect. The office informed us that there was nothing they could do about the drug activity, even though they have a duty to keep residents safe. They also made moving out extremely difficult and were very rude. We paid our final bill, but in what appears to be a petty effort, they have taken their time in cashing the check and turned us into creditors, intentionally trying to harm our credit. Washers and dryers were broken for months, there is constantly garbage and dog poop in the area, I came home one night to a full bottle of urine laying in the parking lot, the garbage is not regularly picked up, despite them charging you for it. They will find any way to charge you for any little bit of thing they can. This place has lofty ideas and likes to think itself a high-end residential community, but it is anything but. If you like to pay exorbitant rental rates yet need to have the McCandless police do ride throughs nightly, then by all means, move here. If you like to not get any sleep, smell weed all day, walk past drug deals in your entry way, not have access to the "amenities" they tout, then by all means move in here. If, on the other hand, you have more than one working brain cell, then avoid this place like the plague. I moved out because it went from a really nice place to live, to a total dump. It just goes to show you how one person can mismanage something so badly. I have never been more happy to be done with a place than we have been to be done here. Again, stay away. It is not worth the hassle.

They claimed to have all these amenities and amazing features with their apartments but in reality it was all smoke in mirrors. On all their websites and brochures they hard sold having this amazing pool but when we moved in they said the pool frame had a crack in it and the cost was too high to repair. So not only did they blatantly lie about that they didn't even care enough to fix it and make it right. On top of that they allowed the sketchiest people to live their. Multiple times in my stay at 19 north (lived there for 9 months) I had police offers and even FBI agents (yes real FBI agents) knock on my door asking questions about a neighbor or if we saw a suspect in the area. There was an actual kidnapping in the apartment above mine and when the reports came out I went to the office because my fiance was scared to be walking our dog late at night alone after that incident. When I went to the office asking what their plan to increase security for all tenants they gave me a nonsense answer with false promises. Nothing changed and security was not increased. You'd think with this many incidents at one place management would perform background checks with their future tenants. Don't move in hear if you have other options, ridiculously over priced and they keep increasing the prices. They used to include some utilities in our rent but as we got ready to move out they changed that and all tenants are responsible for all utilities. This place is a sham plain and simple.
