It’s unfortunate that our review is only 2 stars for this little hidden gem. About a year ago my wife and I would frequently visit this place exclusively for their pulled pork VI Nachos and their Newport Martini. They deserve 5 stars in those times. We had a little sabbatical from here and decided with summer coming we would come back. The quality of their wonderful nacho appetizer has seriously declined and is now rather bland. The drinks were subpar at best, for example… I received my Manhattan shaken! The drinking gods are crying. But before you think I am pretentious, I will say the host (didn’t catch his name) and the server, Lesley, did an amazing job! The reason I went from a one star to a two star. Service is wonderful!

We visited the Village Inn on Mother's Day. I ordered the steak salad. Good portion. Good steak. Good dressing. My wife and daughter ordered the shrimp scampi capellini. The sauce was good, however it was spaghetti, not capellini, which the waitress failed to mention. My son ordered a gourmet burger but didn't notice anything "gourmet" about it. It was just a very expensive hamburger. On the bright side the gin martini I ordered was a generous size.

Pathetic. The salad I ordered for $18 was about 5 bites. It wasn't even that good. This place is very overpriced and didn't even give utensils. Never coming back and you shouldn't either.
