How FroYo Love? How could you do this to me? How could you get me HOOKED on your expertly selected flavors of delicious ice creams and your mind-blowing, extensive selection of toppings? I walked in for the first time today, thinking, “you know what Self? You haven’t had frozen yogurt in a long time. Get yourself a delicious treat. You love strawberry, get yourself some strawberry heavenly goodness.” As I cross the threshold I am bewildered by what I see before me. I am nearly moved to tears by the Mona Lisa of sweet reality - I can hardly believe such a place exists. It took me a full lifetime to decide what to buy - because I knew that whatever I did buy, there would be an infinite number of combinations that I did NOT buy. I have already found the love of my life, thankfully. But when it comes to these tantalizing treats, I will forever be plagued by the flavors that got away. My heart wept as I walked away, while my tastebuds were in All-Out, Orange Theory mode (which is where I will be hitting up double time after this). You see FroYo, you gave me your Love - but I am nothing but a tourist here. A stranger who you wooed away in your cold, soft embrace, knowing full well he lives 3,000 miles away. And long distance relationships never work. I will never find another like you. And I don’t want to. Just promise me you’ll wait for me. Be here when I get back.
