Wear good shoes and bring a flashlight! Beautiful views on the other end... However at the moment you can't go any further the tow path is closed but still worth the walk!! The walkway is very uneven so use caution.

Easy access to the campsites; parking is right beside camping area. Portapotties available. Campfires allowed in the pre-set fire pits. Privacy is fairly limited, campsites are basically a small open area with posts designating different spots. If you go in the off-season though you might be the only one there! You can get onto the Paw Paw Tunnel trail from here as well.

Small primitive campground with well water and outhouse. Nice short hike to the tunnel.

Beautiful scenery, informative and just an all around nice quiet place to visit. The signs they have on the history are really cool and worth taking the time to read. We downloaded(or texted I can't recall.)the app.(it's given on a couple different signs.) It was worth doing. The tunnel is worth walking thru and checking it out. It's amazing that they were able 2 build it using the man power and tools they had back then. The architecture is outstanding.Make sure u take a flashlight, wear your walking shoes and bring a light jacket if u are going in the Summer months.(it is cooler due 2 the plant life & shade.) We saw a bunch of wildlife on our walk to the tunnel. I think every inch of the toepath is beautiful. To think that donkeys use 2 pull boats down it and the amount of ppl that have walked the same path u are for 100+ yrs.is so neat.
