Nice quiet place to have a picnic, walk the canal path and pitch a tent

It was a foggy October night. Out of the mist a train hurdled down the tracks. Then another and another. How does on sleep here? Other that that, it was nice. We had fun. Pump well water, cool and a pain all at once.

Decent campground, restrooms are pit-toilets but pretty clean. It's sandwiched between a freeway and train tracks though - so very noisy! It was easy to find and inexpensive though. Pump water is treated with iodine.

It’s adequate for a primitive campground, the price is right and the sites are plenty big enough for big or small groups. There are 2 port-a John’s and a well pump, there is no access to the river at the campsites. A couple drawbacks is …
