Hollyhock House remains closed, but can be photographed from behind a moderate height chain link fence. The park is open for use.

This small park has big attractions! The views, history, quiet, and easy parking are just a few of several reasons that make this place a gem. From this hilltop you get amazing views of the north and west Los Angeles’ basin; offering amazing sunset shows. The storied history of the Hollyhock house keep the area well maintained and filled with fantastical details. Lush landscaping and open grounds provide a great place to sit quietly in sun or shade while sharing time with others or self. And for those who drive, if you cannot find parking on top of the hill there is an overflow lot near the bottom with an invigorating step (or road) climb to the top.

I love having picnics here. The perfect picnic spot is the grassy hill with the view facing West. Excellent view of LA and the grass is kept short, since the park is always clean. My favorite time to visit is in the summer and fall months and take photos of the sunset over town. It's a popular place to go on a date. Lots of areas around the park to explore. Lots of parking at the top and bottom of the hill too.

Well worth the visit, just to see the outside of the Holly Hock House. The house, museum and visitor center are currently closed (July 2021); however, the park grounds are open. You may view the house from outside the decorative fence. The park itself is a quiet respite. You may walk and enjoy the shade of tall pines and Olive trees. Many people were enjoying picnicking on the grassy area next to the house. There were portable toilets and plenty of parking since the house was closed. Looking forward to returning once tours resume.

Yes, but there's no playground. You can find out more info about youth activities here: https://barnsdall.org/youth-classes
There is no hospital there, it is a public park.
Park is open, looks like indoors opens in September.
Parking is down below the Hollywood sign. Then you just walk up the hill in to Barnsdale park
Yes, I believe so. But these days, the western entrance is the only one being used.

Thursday through Sunday, noon to 5 pm. Admission is free.
No public bathroom that I know of. You could ask to use the bathroom at the art gallery when they're open.
During park hours there are bathrooms available. As warmer weather approaches, there are more visitors hence..more staff to monitor property. With the new renovation, the park is now enclosed with fencing further deterring the ' less fortunate ' from frequenting this location. Restrooms are now often locked if staff is not on premises. I suggest you "go" before visiting..just to be safe(r). UNLESS you have a scheduled tour for the Hollyhock House or workshops during regular (daytime) business hours. Restrooms are on premises for the visiting & certainly, the paying public. Children are welcomed..so yeah! (last visit 11.2017)
I am not really sure about that. I've always used and been able to find parking at main entrance. Sounds like you should call them.
