I love the park and the walks here, serve as a workout. You can also bring food and have a picnic. You can see the LA buildings from the top of the mountain. There is fish and turtlea in the lake. I have posted pics here for you guys to see.

Beautiful hiking areas with 360 view of the entire San Gabriel valley, mt Wilson, Mt baldy, downtown & lots more ! A shady pond is home to dozens of turtles , plus BBQ and picnic areas with ample parking. A hidden LA gem !

My kids and I love to hike. I saw this place on a tik tok, and I thought it was a cool place for the kids to experience. There's a park and hiking trails all around. We hiked up to the lake where we saw a bunch of turtles and then hiked down to a swing. My kids and I enjoyed our day, and we will often be visiting.

Yet theres a route that lets u go in at any time. Theres a park right at the bottom and you can hike it from there to the top is like 20mns. Just in case u wanna go late.
On hikes I haven't seen many people on bikes. On road I've seen a few as you get into parking lot at park.
When u go up the hill and get to the turtle pond turn to the left around the pond and a short walk down hill following the view of LA
There is parking inside the park and it is big enough.
Restrooms that I've seen are on the concrete trail pass the lake at the main park.
Yes it is, but you must keep dogs on leash while hiking! There are several signs on the entrance letting you know. Sometimes there are park rangers checking to make sure people follow the rules. Since there has been several occasions of dogs getting into fights with other dogs. I myself was there with my small child when an a dog chased us and got close to biting us! It was scary, dog owners need to be more considerate and responsible! For your info there is a dog park across the street!
No
If you're coming in from Monterey road, you won't miss the main parking lot. It's marked by a sign with the park's name. You enter there, and drive up a hill with some gnarly speed bumps. The lot is next to the park/picnic area.
No, its closes at around 6 but you can still go in. Just be aware of coyotes.
Its by the information center ,just up the concrete path. Once there, go through the courtyard, it's on the left!
Yes that would be a good idea.
Like 8 or 9 o'clock.
Limited to big picnic area where reservation maybe needed...
I dont know never did that butit dont hurt to ask office is open if gates are open on entering park
You have to get permission to have a birthday. A taquero, and jumper. 🙋♀️
No need to reserve a spot. Just need to get there early to get a good spot.
