My mother and I traveled from Florida to celebrate her 70th birthday. I love that the hotel sits in a “circle” of other hotels right off the interstate, so it’s easy to find. They have free hot breakfast every morning; waffles, home fries, oatmeal, omelets, sausage, etc. I love the fire pits located by their pool area. They also have a mini “store” where you can purchase quick bites, medicine, and even nail clippers (go figure). Their staff is good too, but one in particular stood out and was very friendly from the first time I saw her until our last night. Her name is Shay. Shay embodies what every person on vacation wants from their hotel staff. We did not encounter too many negatives; there were small ants in the bathroom that came out due to a collection of towels on the floor, so that’s on us as we probably could have just sat them outside the door. The bathroom shower had hair still there, so their housekeeping services can be improved. If you’re bringing a vehicle or plan on parking on-site, they charge a nightly fee (I think $22/night). So for us it racked up because of the length of our stay, which I think should have been waived because of the length, but hey, I don’t make the rules. Overall nice stay and location for the price.

The hotel staff were really friendly and there were plenty of options for breakfast. The kids loved the pool and the gym was clean. The problem was our room had ants. We told the front desk and asked for a new room, but was told they were sold out. They came and sprayed ant killer the first night, but we still found them throughout the room the next morning. We asked them to clean and service the room while we were gone the next day, but was told they don’t service rooms during short days for COVID. We were hoping that they would clean because of the ants, and they refused. The next night they had availability and gave us a new room… and the first thing we saw were ants on toilet, shower curtain, and vanity. I probably will never stay at a Hampton again because of it. I think they tried, but the cleanliness just wasn’t good enough for paying over $150 a night.

What can I say? I read the reviews after booking and decided to take a chance. My family of 5 along with other countless family members booked here at the same time. Here is our verdict: We don’t agree with the parking issue that a lot of people complained about as we stayed from 3/24 - 3/27. We drove up in big boy truck and were gone all throughout the day and night. This place has a parking garage and PLENTY of parking spaces in the front! Our family booked 4 differential rooms here and we all cleaned and wiped down the place once we got here (something we do no matter where we travel) and we were all impressed with clean the rooms were. No trace of bed bugs or bugs at all. I had a room overlooking the fire pit area and it was quiet even though tons of people were out there nightly including my teens. My kids loved the breakfast and were up by 5:30am to be the first ones to get their food. The LOVED the food! Lots of choices. Not just muffins and fruit, Polska sausage, eggs, omelettes, and a bunch of other stuff including yogurt too!! The staff was ALWAYS friendly! That includes housekeeping! Kellee made checking in smooth and easy! Thank you!! Checkout was even easier because if you download their app you have the option to check out electronically. The ONLY cons to this stay were the beds were hard as rocks, but a simple egg crate mattress topper would cure that if you don’t like hard beds. The only other things are the pillows. They are not at all what I would expect from a Hilton hotel at all. The moment I laid on my pillows I knew it was going to be a very LONG night and it was. They smash like they cost $2.00. The elevators are a little dangerous in that they open and then the doors are closing almost immediately. The pool was heated and the area was always clean. The lobby and food cafe area was clean and so was the lounge. This place is very close to Coronado and Sea World. Overall, we enjoyed our stay and will be back!!!

It was a wonderful experience staying at the Hampton Inn. The rooms are spacious enough. Not like the cramped ones that one would often see in most hotels. All rooms, facilities, common areas are kept clean and tidy. The staff are courteous and welcoming. They always try to accommodate any reasonable request that one might have . The hot breakfast served everyday with a good array of choices is a sure way to start the day in a great way. All in all, the family had a great time staying at the Hampton Inn. We would be back to this hotel again when we are in San Diego.

In some rooms call the property for rates and details
Not sure, but we were able to use the one in the lobby 24/7. They even provided paper plates, eating utensils, salt/pepper.
20 dollars per day.
