We were visiting Ventura and it was a happy surprise, that the Fair started the day after we arrived. We usually come to visit for the day and decided to stay extra days and we were not disappointed. Right there by the ocean was this really great size fair. Rides, shopping, food, music and animals. It was full of things to do, eat and see. On top of everything else, we got amazing seats to see Martina McBride. She was amazing 👏 After that, having walked off dinner, we stopped to get a treat and listen to a local band. As our hotel was within walking distance, we walked along with other folks heading into town, back for the night. Now, to plan another fun day in Ventura. We highly recommend the Ventura Fair.

Such a fun fair! I've done Oc and Pomona and they are great but Ventura is smaller l, but you have everything those huge fairs have. Great rides great staff and omg let me tell you about them Fish tacos and cookie stand DELICIOUS 😋!!! A MUST! its to bad ill have to wait another year for those but well worth the wait. And great view from the ferris wheel 2 👍👍 ⏫️

Nice that the fair is back but more than an hour to park. As we walked from pier parking they were allowing fairground parking. 🤨 Walking through entire parking lot you will find large preferential parking barricades off in the middle and very empty. Beer gardens do not take cash. Small print under large prices. $7 each to ride Big Ferris Wheel. Line is fast but you really only make 1 to 2 revolutions for $7. If the fair is dear to your heart, budget for it like you would the larger Amusement parks. Budget your time and money. Very time consuming as you are waiting for everything. The wait isnt the staff, it's the people in front of you. Lots of them and not considerate of others. Not to mention the droves of people walking into and through a very distinct line! I had fun with my group but will think very hard about my next visit.

Surprisingly clean and organized, right next to the beach so it was 73 degrees while the Valley was 97 degrees. There was thousands of people but enough space to not be disgusted. Highly suggest you arrive early because the VIP is only for parking, but not for the admission, the admission walk in line is combined standard and VIP tickets.

We paid 30 something for 40 tickets, that's about 10 rides at 4 a pop, bigger kids rides are 5.
Equestrian shows are daily but the Rodeo is Saturday and Sunday at 2pm and 7pm. Arrive early to gain access. Last year gates closed 30 minutes after opening.
Yes just be prepared. They have rules for what is allowed in the venue.

Plenty of parking around 5pm. They were directing vehicles in a Disneyland arrival style.
A little less than 1x car width between those next to you. At least 1x car length between the rows. You would have no issue leaving during/early.

It is a yearly event usually running from Aug 1st-Aug 12th. You can visit their website in May or June to see their dates, pre-sale tickets, and concert performers ahead of time.
I don't think so. They have grandstand seating and the area in front of the stage has folding seats as well.

Dogs are aloowed in tht RV as long as they are not disturbing anyone else in my oppinion. Your RV is not a property of fairground therefore some restrictions are apply only when your dogs lay their feet on the ground of Fairgrounds. Ie only dogs on leases are alowed with exceptions meaning you having total control of your pet dogs. This is what i know.

I wouldn't recommend bringing a dog, some days the fair is so crowded that a dog would likely get trampled on accident
