I’m not one to post reviews often, but Karen at Mary Me Bridal deserves a bit of a spotlight here. I went into this shop looking for a Pronovias dress called Rea. Though they did not have that style, they had an identical looking dress from Casablanca which Karen had me try on first. It was beautiful but I quickly realized that the dress simply was not for me. Karen had me try on a plethora of styles and my reactions guided her to pick a very unique dress that I probably would have never thought to try on. I fell in love. She knew that was the dress for me but continued to let me try on other dresses. She was incredibly professional and not pushy at all (unlike some other stores I have visited). I left that day without buying a dress or veil and went to try on dresses at other boutiques. None of the dresses matched up to the one Karen found and honestly none of the stylists matched her expertise and professionalism. I went back a week later, paid for the dress. Karen is exceptional. Also Sue is super responsive. She answered the phone to help me initially. There’s a weird comment below that she hung up on someone. She never hung up on me, original poster ! :)

My shopping experience was okay, but customer service really dropped off after they made the sale. Some time between me picking up my veil and another accessory, they lost my file and I had to wait thirty minutes for what I thought would be a quick pickup. Their disorganization made me start panicking that something would go wrong with my dress order (fortunately, that didn't happen). During that visit, Karen (who sold me my dress!) made an assumption that I was picking the item up for a friend, which made me feel kinda weird. When my mom and I came in to pick up my dress, Karen brought it into the room, opened the bag, and then disappeared. Didn't offer to help me into the dress, didn't come by to check and make sure everything was fine. I never expected super high-end service since this is a small business, but by the end of my experience I was frustrated by how little attention that we were offered.

I had a terrible experience at this wedding dress shop. When I arrived, they asked me to look through all of the gowns and see if there were gowns that I would like to try on, however, when my consultant came over to meet me, she picked apart every dress that I had pulled and told me that I should not try on those dresses. Prior to coming to the appointment, I had created a spreadsheet that listed the designers that they carried, along with the gowns from those designers that were intriguing to me. Every other bridal salon I went to appreciated this and said it was so helpful, however, when I showed this my consultant she said "I wouldn't know any of the names of the gown anyways, so there is no point in looking at your spreadsheet." She then proceeded to put me gowns that were very much so not the style I had in mind. While she was helping me put on each dress, she would not tuck in the straps or adjust the dress to properly be shown, they always looked so messy. She made comments about the way that I looked in the dresses before she asked me what my opinion was on them, and then proceeded to ask "Do you even want to show them this one?" each time. She made me feel ashamed about the way I looked in the dresses and she didn't allow me to come to opinions before voicing her own. I could tell that she was rushing me and her comments were hurtful. Every time I came out to show my group the dress, she would leave without saying anything, instead of listening to any of the comments that we had about each one. I found myself waiting for her to return almost every time, not knowing where she had run off to. Finally, after trying on multiple gowns, she allowed me to go pick out some gowns that seemed more my style, and I ended up finding one that I really loved (mind you it was one that I had listed on my spreadsheet.) However, she then proceeded to try to make me buy it in that moment, by saying things like "Once you know, you know and you shouldn't try on any more dresses to confuse yourself. You need to get this today." After telling her several times, that i would need to go home and think about it, because I don't want to make this decision on the spot, she then gave up. However, when we went back to the dressing room she said "Next time you come, you might want to come with a younger crowd." I had come with my mom, grandma, and future mother in law and they had been pleasant the entire time; mind you this woman was probably about their same age. I was extremely offended by the comment and found it to be completely inappropriate. Once my appointment came to an end, she did not offer any information about the gown or about next steps if I chose to come back. Instead, she decided to finish our time by telling me about how she wanted her husband to get a colonoscopy, but he was refusing to do so and said "This is marriage, I am just preparing you." It was the cherry on top of the entire afternoon. Needless to say, I did not return or order a gown from them. I write this in hopes to save someone else from my experience, because this is something that I will always remember when I think of going wedding dress shopping with my family.

Beautiful gowns! Staff was helpful but kind of disappointed due to the fact they told us wrong info, she told us it would be a flat fee to alterations of $450-$500 and once dress came in& we're ready for alterations there is a separate charge for every little thing that added up to, shy if $1,000! At that point just feels like they just cared about the sell at the moment. Brides have enough on there plate and big expenses, honestly is the best policy!
