Amazing! We spent 4 hours and walked the equivalent of nearly 5 miles. Tons to see! Benches are many and dotted throughout if needed. Loved that some planes you could actually go into especially the Presidential AF 1 planes and cargo plane. We were very disappointed in their Cafe though. High priced for pre-made and kept warm burgers and fries. Very little variety of menu. Our suggestion is pack a lunch and cooler for beverages and eat somewhere in the Memorial garden area in front side of the museum along the parking lot. It has shade and benches and is peacefully beautiful. We will be back and bring the grandsons who will love the simulator rides! If you travel with an RV like we do go to the far right when entering the parking lot then way to the back. Plenty of space when we arrived mid week mid day.

This is such an awesome museum. They have so many airplanes to look at. If you are an airplane enthusiast set aside at least a whole day to spend here. There is so much history in this museum. They also have some simulators you can try out, those cost money. Be warned, the cafe is very expensive. If you can I recommend eating elsewhere. The gift shop is awesome and has all kinds of cool things to get.

I've been visiting the Air Force Museum since I was a little girl. What an incredible museum! Very interesting, informative, and free! It's a wonderful place to take children. They have all of the interactive displays open to the public again. You are able to walk inside of JFK's Air Force One, as well as Roosevelt's! I highly recommend coming here to anyone.

I have loved coming to this museum since I was a child! Now I get to take my own child and pass along the love for this museum. The museum is completely free, which is rare to find these days, and is absolutely huge! You could definitely spend more then a day there if you wanted to but a day visit is also sufficient. Do yourself a favor and check out this amazing museum!

Could be the best field trip you ever planned. If possible make it an over night event or to see as much as possible in a single day break your groups down and rotate them thriugh the the 4 individual guided tours if need be. If well planned it will go smooth. Food it not cheap but not over priced considering the admission is ZERO. There is a great souvenir shop and a few pay too experience avricities. Other than that more than you could ever imagine sitting in one place.
I am a current volunteer at the museum. There are about 50 or so wheelchairs and 25 motorized carts. There is no charge for either. Carts are available at the front and in the 4th building. Wheelchairs are available in each gallery.
One full day is enough for the main hangars, guess 2 days will let you explore the details. Enjoy, for me it's a fascinating museum.
So far, yes. But, pay attention to the official website for updates as this could change.
You won't be able to see all og it but the rooms are separated by era so you could choose what you want to see.
