Hello Nancy, thank you for reaching out. Our agency connects individuals to a wide range of services to support healthy living and aging in place for older adults and adults living with disabilities. Some of the services include case management for people needing a caregiver, information and referrals, answers to questions about Medicare and Medicaid, and much more. To learn about the wide range of services we offer please take a look at our website (https://www.altcew.org/) or give us a call at 509-960-7281. We are happy to discuss our services in much greater detail!
Hello Wade, thank you for reaching out! Please call us at 509-960-7281 to talk to an individual about how your loved one can find the assistance they need to obtain long term care.
The Long Term Care Trust Act was passed by the Washington State Legislature in 2019. According to the bill, the Trust Act will provide benefits to individuals who pay into the Trust – in other words, individuals that are working. The Trust Act will not pay benefits to individuals who are currently retired and have not paid into the Trust. The bill established a Trust Commission, which will oversee implementation of the bill. As Washington State works on implementing the Trust Act, this will be a good source of information about how the benefit will be rolled out in the future. If you are experiencing long term care needs or have questions about what long term care services you may be able to access today, we would encourage you to contact our Community Living Connections HelpLine at (509) 960-7281. Our staff can answer questions about benefits, help plan for care, and connect you to local resources that may be able to help.
Thank you for this inquiry. Our organization would be happy to discuss with you what’s involved in hosting a falls prevention class at your church. Please give us a call at 509-458-2509 ext. 217 to discuss this!
Yes, IPs are covered by worker’s compensation insurance through the Washington State Department of Labor and Industries. If you are injured while providing care to a client, go to the hospital or Doctors office and tell them you are injured on the job. They will have you fill out a form. List your employer as HCQA Negotiated Contract 601 Union Street Suite 3500 Seattle Washington 98101.
IP is an individual provider. Basically, a caregiver that does not work for a company; they work directly for the client. Call458-2509 and ask for the Referral Registry staff. They will be able to assist you further.
Correct, they do not need to be present.
