I give it 3.5 stars. Really peaceful lake, beautiful sunset. Sites are pleasantly spaced apart with good price. We had fun here! Good for camping, lots of space to play.

Hello, my wife and I (Tim and Jan) are the current volunteer hosts (2020). We have been here 3 weeks and have been trying to get the place nice and tidy for visitors. This is a Bureau of Land Management fee park. This is boat-in or walk-in only... NO VEHICULAR ACCESS. $10.00 per night includes a tent site and/or boat parking at the dock. There is 2 vault toilets that we strive to keep clean. You can help odor control by keeping toilet lids and doors closed... it really does help! Also, there is NO trash facilities here. Pack it in, pack it out! Please do not leave your trash behind. Come on by and check it out. We look forward to seeing you!

Hey folk , this is Dave the Camp host. For those that don't know this is not a County campground it is Federal cared for by the BLM I take care of it from Memorial Day to Labor Day and try to keep it nice . It really is a hidden gem and a beautiful place to stay. The downside for some is that it's boat in or walk in and although short it is a heck of a hill . You can stay on your boat or use one of our 16 tent camp sites . After you see the driveway you'll understand why mine is the only trailer down here . There is a plan in the works to put in a lower gate a allow campers to drive down, unload and pull back up top to park.(the wheels of a govt. agency turn slow) But that's a plan . We welcome you to come check us out. As a side note the picture of the boat ramp is deceiving as it is not part of the park but is just across the Bay about 400 yards. A special note that the phone number is only good from Memorial Day until Labor Day

It is a great boat camp area - one reviewer stated he had to turn around cause the gate was locked? That's because trailers are not allowed at the camp site. It's designed for tents only and you walk in - no trailer are allowed. The other way to enter the campground is by boat - Dogs on leash only and no alcohol allowed.

The Mica Bay Boat Launch is just across the bay. 3 minutes by car or by boat. The campground has two docks. You can dock overnight.
There are 16 total campsites and its never very busy. We have always been able to get a campsite without a problem, even 4th of July weekend!
I'm here now its not open
Camping spots? I think they are first come first serve.
Restrooms 2 or 3 single throne with water, light and 1 120v outlet. No showers.
Yes, provided there is not a burn ban - which usually goes into affect come August, but depends greatly upon the weather. The host often has firewood for free - provided fires are allowed.
