We adopted our beautiful Brea. It took us a few trips to find the right dog. That one of the things I liked most, they took ur wants and needs into consideration before just letting you walk out with an animal

I had planned a Daddy/daughter date with my 14 year old. The day was to culminate with a surprise trip with her younger sister to the licking county humane society for her to adopt a kitty. We had previously adopted our dog from the same location. Our visit was short as a guy named Zack was so unbelievably rude. He was talking so nasty to us that the lady in front of us (also there to adopt) spoke up and said "why are you talking to them like that?" She ultimately walked out behind us and said "I'm not going to adopt here if they treat people that way". It was overall an awful experience. My daughter was crushed as she had been begging me for a kitty for months and was so close to getting one. Needless to say the actions of one overzealous, rude employee ruined the day. We headed straight to the last place I ever thought I would purchase a pet from - PetsMart! Now my daughter is happy and we know to never ever again go to this shelter.

We adopted Claus, now Koda, on Christmas Eve. He has been such a great addition to our family. Everyone there was great to work with and I would highly recommend adopting a rescue dog or cat.

Denise and Barbie, now known as Millie and Mia are settling in with our family quite well! We are so thankful for everything the Humane Society does for animals and for giving us this opportunity to adopt these adorable sisters. We are extremely happy that we got them both as they have a lot of energy at this stage, so they have each other to play with, snuggle with and wrestle with at the times when we aren’t able to. Erin was such a great help in our adoption process. Very knowledgeable and great at answering any questions we had. Thank you so much for a great experience and adding fun to our empty nest!

My daughter is helping a friend who is disabled to find a home for 8 kittens about 6 weeks old. They are eating soft foods and using the kitty litter. Very loveable but need love. Can you help us find homes for them?
