The passport application incharge emphasized only on appointments. The website doesn’t allow making appointments stating everything booked back to back. I came walk in to see if there is anyone waiting for passport application line, and it turned out there was no one for 40 mins that I waited. After waiting in line, the application incharge strictly turned me away saying she will not do any exceptions on appointment rule. I do understand the nature of appointments, but I work in banking and I always try to squeeze people in because not many use computers, or may have urgent transactions to take care of.

I came on a weekend to request for a passport appointment. An agent told me there was no appointment needed. I said I would like to make an appointment as I have limited (time) availability. He said appointments are not made, and “when you come back and you are told you need an appointment, just speak to a supervisor.” I believed him and came back on a rare day-off from work to renew my son’s passport. Mind you, a minor requires both parents present so both my husband and I, along with our son, all waited in a line with 5 people in front of us only to be told that we needed to make an appointment for passports. So I asked to speak to “the Supervisor” who confirmed an appointment was needed. Needless to say, I was very upset by this lack of service and misinformation. The Supervisor then advised I can go to either Walnut Creek or Concord branches for walk-ins. What a disappointment! No wonder why this location has such poor reviews. Need to hire competent, service-oriented personnel.

The people at this post office are totally incompetent. They do not understand how to facilitate a mail hold. This is the second time in 60 days that they have not followed the instructions I made online when I set up both holds. They tried to deliver my mail when my instructions said to hold it. I had a friend go to the post office today at great inconvenience, since we are in the middle of a pandemic. He waited in line and was told my mail went out with the carrier and was going to be delivered that day instead of being held. My neighbor checked on my mail and it not delivered which means my mail is in Neverland and these stupid people at this post office cannot figure this out. They need to go back to post office school.

This office was great for completing my passport needs. I made an appointment online, showed up early, had all the paperwork I needed, and was in/out within 20mins! The lady helping me was super informative and helpful. I was dreading this process since I know it can take forever (from what others have said) but it was a snap!
